That looked like a nice little trip..... and so that's what Chaparral looks like huh ........ I think I've gotten two tires from them over the years...... pretty damn cheap of them not giving you a new master link ...... sounds like it'll cost them in the end.

It's a big place. My granddaughter loves when I take her there. All kinds of bikes. "Where's Bossie?" I tell her they don't make her anymore. "AUAH." It's on the way to and from their place. About 1/2 way. They pay their people on commission. I'll find a item on sale on line and when I get there, I get a argument. I have the ad so they shut up. Too bad most bike shops don't have any inventory anymore. Next time I go there, I'll take some pics. Lots of goodies.

I just went down to the little store for a nip and batteries(5 miles). Pulling away I had to avoid some idiot coming out of the parking lot. I grabbed a hand full and kept it until red line for the first time. It pulls strong but after it hit 7000, it was like it had two more cylinders. :woohoo: Surprised even me. It's starting to get that zzzzzp sound :) . I was planning on going back to the jets  . I think I'll wait a little longer. The plugs were tan in the center but a black ring around the casing. I'll check them again in the morning.

Just did the loop again. PS to DHS to home. Lots more low end. Really no place to use the red line. Don't need it. Low charging again. One A/C line is putting out 49v, another 39v and the other .5v and 12.5 when connected to another line. I can rule out the battery and Reg/Rect. I have another stater and I'll put it in, in the morning. What I really want is a high out put stater. Any suggestions?

Back in Phelan again. Good day for a ride, 90/100's, cooler up here. I'm picking up a new front tire at Chapprall tomorrow. It's lasted three and 1/2 rear tires. I'll count it as a birth day present to me being it's on the first. Bike's running great. Pulls the grade in 5th just fine. I ordered a 16 tooth sprocket and my new Tach and Speedo should be waiting for me when I get home. Looks like the cable will come later as well as the rest of the stuff I ordered. New shocks too.

Best offered a top box. More period than the CHINESE POS I have.

More to come.

Another 250 mile ride. Seems to be leaning out. Stopped by Chaparral on the way home. Tried to take some shots at the top of I 15. Next time I'll have to climb the bank to get the ones I wanted. I may be 61 but I can still climb and RIDE. :woohoo:
Shocks arrived, the Tach/Speedo and alternator stater are hung up at the post office. I'll get them tomorrow.

That's a new Honda 1100 fuel injected. Looks like Retro is coming back.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationPut the new shocks on. I didn't set the preload to see how they did. They're 3/8" shorter than the stock ones but when I sat on the bike, it didn't crouch like with the other ones. I'm dressing out at around 230/40 so the stock style shocks were dealing with the weight. There's a sharp high speed turn with a rough spot in the middle and when I'd go through it, the bike would heave a little. With these shocks, it held firm all the way through. Two stage progressive rate springs and the shock is bigger. I think I'll clean the old ones up and list them for $50. If I don't sell them, maybe I'll switch the cool looking red reflector covers to the new shocks. It would be a shame to destroy them just for that. They're two years old and don't leak. We'll see.
The Tach/Speedo should come today and a new cable. 16 tooth sprocket too. I also should have my new stater come with the Tach/Speedo, so I will change both of them at one time. :woohoo: Been waiting a long time for this. B)

Can't count the times I've looked at my gauges and been bummed about the condensation dryed on the face........ you've sure got me thinkin about either having mine done or tearing into mine..... they both work great and look pretty nice other than being a little faded.......... but then again I've been thinking about it for about 5 years now and I've got plenty of other things to do first. :pinch: .....shocks are gonna have to wait even though I know they are shot and should be on my list....... always had big plans of working on the bike and the same on a old classic car after retiring but now that I'm here ....don't know gotta get some Geritol or something.

You can open them no problem as long it's just the covers. i used rubbing alcohol to clean the glass. The ones I'm taking off can be rebuilt. I'll leave that to someone else. I take my iron tabs every day. Works great for me.

Put in the stater and 16 tooth sprocket. Putting out 14.5 volts but it is bumping down then back up as I ride. I turn on the lights and it reads 11 volts. Looks like I need another Reg/Rect. With the sprocket I'm back to 3500 RPM at 55/60, a little over 4000 at 70. First gear is taller but roll on is not as strong. I had to down shift to make a long pass. I'm not sure I like it.

I like my 16/35 combo but I ordered a new chain and sprocket set Friday for 15/35. Still my favorite and even though 16/35 is nice at 65-80 mph, 15/35 is probably still going to be my #1 choice with the 1075 kit.

Out here there isn't a lot of stop and go. I'll order a 15 and a 35 for when I get a O ring chain. No hurry now. I have a new standard chain that should last at least a year. That should give me enough time to collect them.
