here is the sharp end of the 500.00 rarest old kawasaki bike gig.......you want her so bad....you see her by the juke box...........4500 later you got a 4700 dollar shiner and no wife or running bikes still................but how you gonna walk away from a rare date ...even if it is a losing bet,it still beats no date at all..............

but...................fill that dance card too full and no mo boogie woogie fo papa san..all worries and orders and saving and wrong stuff... ...all data and plans and dreams...(my 7 , not a one finished to turn key)

WTF am i doing building a museum??????................. for an audience that has not even been born yet?

oh no mike i beg to differ there are few of the 900-2300 luminous blues left around and yes in fact i checked and i did get the blank original slab for 600.....correct sir.... ;) ...so last time i checked they are available on craigslist :)

79MKII wrote: Thanks - I still can't believe how awesome your MKII looks....I want to redo a stock one someday but they aren't just around everywhere for like $600, ya know??

I had big plans for this '78. I had already purchased the wider rear rim, the fork brace, the marzocchi shocks, the aluminum swingarm, steering dampener, etc.... Was going to be a cool little road racer. Sold most of the parts in a money crunch... :(

Got a chance to pick up a wrecked 77 LTD 1000 that is OK except for the forks for $500....might make a good road racer project....modern suspension, etc.... It was running excellent before it was crashed....running from the police as a matter of fact. Problem is, I already have 2 projects in front of it. Too many bikes, not enough time. Got 3 runners out of 5....not too bad, right?

Very good point on the LTD project....always the way it is. But that doesn't stop us anyway.

An ELR would be nice. I think you get way better prices out there in Cali...people want crazy money for anything out here. If you see another 79MKII, send me a PM. Just might have it shipped to Ohio!

I really prefer the blue but a red would be OK, I guess. Share the wealth my brother!

If a board was involved in your getting it up into the truck with you on the bike then it's an automatic "yes"... as long as there is a YouTube video of it. No fish stories....

If you decide you have too many projects and don't want to take this one on let me know I just sold my 77 1000 LTD to a buddy of mine and I'd be interested in this one since I have all the needed parts sitting here to fix it.

Thanks,
Andy
