I had big plans for this '78. I had already purchased the wider rear rim, the fork brace, the marzocchi shocks, the aluminum swingarm, steering dampener, etc.... Was going to be a cool little road racer. Sold most of the parts in a money crunch...
Got a chance to pick up a wrecked 77 LTD 1000 that is OK except for the forks for $500....might make a good road racer project....modern suspension, etc.... It was running excellent before it was crashed....running from the police as a matter of fact. Problem is, I already have 2 projects in front of it. Too many bikes, not enough time. Got 3 runners out of 5....not too bad, right?

An ELR would be nice. I think you get way better prices out there in Cali...people want crazy money for anything out here. If you see another 79MKII, send me a PM. Just might have it shipped to Ohio!

I really prefer the blue but a red would be OK, I guess. Share the wealth my brother!

If a board was involved in your getting it up into the truck with you on the bike then it's an automatic "yes"... as long as there is a YouTube video of it. No fish stories....

If you decide you have too many projects and don't want to take this one on let me know I just sold my 77 1000 LTD to a buddy of mine and I'd be interested in this one since I have all the needed parts sitting here to fix it.
Thanks,
Andy
