anyone here have a bike that runs?rode this month?

I've saie...i'm down with a few states to ride and then a two day and then back...it could be done..

Count me in if you want to do this. I need a few months lead time to get time off work, but other than that.....

I would also suggest staying in Golden, Co which is really is the gateway to a lot of nice rides and is essentially a western suburb of Denver. Denver itself pretty much sucks.

Our counterparts on the GSR board have several rides in different areas to allow members to get together and ride. That is the best way to approach it IMHO versus one ride at one spot each year.

I tried to do that here on KZR back in 2007 & 2008 with limited success, actually had more GS's show up than KZ's though with the mix of other bikes that came it was closer to 50% in 2007 but much less so in 2008.

Maybe I should have continued it for a few more years to give it more time to try and get some of these KZ's out of their driveways and garages but putting on one of things takes a lot of effort actually if you want people to have a good time and come back next year. It just didn't seem to be gaining more KZR interest and to really be fun for your marque you need about 10-12 bikes there at least so you can get a feeling of being a part of something and to accommodate different riding styles/skills. I enjoy riding with the GSR guys but I would have really liked to have seen more KZR members there.

Denver is 1181 miles for me by the I-70 slab so I doubt that would be doable for me due to time away from work just to get there and back. Good luck with your getting this crowd to come!

I'm guessing you have a lot of roads nearby that are great to ride based on what I'm seeing in this photo. My kind of area to go for a day or a weekend!

Oh, I forgot to mention that anyone wanting to put together a ride for people from far and wide to attend, if you want I can provide you with some tips and such to make it easier for you plus there's another issue you probably haven't thought about yet that is something you need to do in nowadays to CYA.

where is that...it reminds me of sections of North Carolina or a bit of parts of upstate N.Y....i should know, but dont remember where your at

i guess the multiple rides in dif areas makes more sense...and in a way we have the mid Ohio group...lot of indy folks...we have Texans and we have Cali and near state kzr folk

wonder if we made a list of each area,divide the folks from each area,into maybe ,west..central..mid west .ect and they exchanged p.m's as to races/rides/work time off/ as they're local event gets near...

but like we do now to invite and keep it in a single thread....to much words...the ideas are easy to picture but get sticky in the details as they go...and thses things always fizzle out...the euro guys were doing kawi rides and tent over elr events and such right

On our counterpart GSR forum, they have a sub-forum that is for rides called the "GS Meeting Place", it gets cleared out every year for the next years rides. Something like this could be used here for groups of any size and for just a day ride or overnighters.

The header info for that sub-forum reads like this currently;
