That's cool! I'm making the new stem today for your tree plus I'm going to play around with the axle deal. I'm also going to look at what may be involved in the brake caliper mounting to rotor location and see If I can come up with something custom. Are you wanting to use the ZX or KZ calipers? I'd suggest the ZX due to being newer and more powerful.

I bought a set of ZX calipers I figured I would use since they are more modern and Thanks man appreciate all your doing meant to get the axle in the mail yesterday but the paint thing came out of the blue and I didnt want to miss it.

Thats looks great. let me know if i got this right. u sprayed a mist of black/grey? through the cheese cloth to get a motteled/textured look, then covered it with candy red, and clear ?
i wish i could see the real deal. i bet its sweet.

basically yeah. thend lined the edges of the stripes with an over educed black mist
before we laid the candy

Just got back from finishing the color sanrdin and buffing sun came out for a bit and
If the resr turns out half as good as what we have done so far there isnt a local show
it wont win I am in awe. I left my card reader in my camera bag at the shop so all I
have are a couple phone pic's

I am wore out the rest is final sanded and stipes laid out gonna put in another day tomorrow to knock it out.

Just got in from day number 3 Had the most amazing experience working on a custom I can only describe it as getting to work with Chip foose or the OCC gang. the best materials no short cuts only thing holding us back was time and our bodies. the airbrushing I did on the final pieces was nearly perfect subtle but the difference if that makes any sense. I am truly beyond tired. still alot to do before the bike gets to florida. I hope he enters it in a major show!! glad to be a part of it!!

Thanks guys yeah the paint work is as smooth as a babys butt I hate to say it but they buy paint in quantity mix their the colors and stil Have more in paint that I have in all the paint jobs I have done lol.

I guess it is true Quality of the violin doesnt make you a musiscian but it sure make the music you play that much sweeter.

I have a cute story my exwife asks me what my kz would be worth? I tell her I dont know since I did the Mmonoshock conversion I really limited the market on desirability and I really hadn't thought about selling it I plan to own it forever.

she says well you know if you could get a couple grand out of it we could probably find you one (like my sons) Wrecked and you could rebuild it like we are are LMAO I had to just smile and say yeah probably couldn't get that out of mine I'll just have to wait LMAO

She hasn't had the pleasure Of being blessed by the KZ gods! it isn't about the money or the value it's about the adventure.

I will enjoy the looks he gets on that monster because it is slick and beautiful but I will enjoy the looks mine gets even more! especially when they say is that a KZ1000? those were a beast back in the day!! lol
