i have a metzler 19" on the front of my z1r.
i will have to look to make sure which model.
but i have metzlers on both ends 19" front 17" rear and love the way it rides and handles.

Thanks Leon I know Shinko gets a bad rap for for not wearing very well but the the one I have on the back is awesome. But it's the only one I have tried so far and its a huge and I mean huge difference with the new suspension on the rear

I cant wait to see how it comes out with the USD forks The fender bracket will be the easiest to fab the rotor spacing is my biggest worry at this point but until I get everything all in one place I will have to wait to work that out

i have ran shinko's and would not hesitate to run em again if i could get the size i needed.

Ok got kind of a shock today the exwifes husband is helping my son with his harley build nothing but the best going on this he is partner in 6 bodyshop locations amoung other things. his 35 years of painting fabricating and custom work is going into the bodywork custom tail fin hand fabricated custom fab touches all over it. they have the first color down it will be black with silver scallops and a bugandy candy with a design under it.

I stop by after my job interview and he asked me if would be a part of it since it is for my son and would like for me to do the airbrushing. my skills arew not at that level yet but what the hell I have to give it a try for sure! only couple hours notice they are painting tonight so off I go wish me luck!!

Thanks guys it's 10 til 4 am just walked in the door got alot of pics the airbrushing is minimal but got half the bike painted will post wen I got through th pic's and get out of bed in the morning umm in a few hours thanks for the encouragement

Really learned alot last night and hope to put the it to use "Les we are
working on getting a stencil set up for yours, got the green light for my
Graphics guy design the stripe stencils for the classic Z1 paint scheme"
(on the buddy system)

It's amazing how much you pick up when working with a master painter even
for one evening I am pretty much self taught so the little things I picked
up you just cant buy. working in a real ppaint enviroment aure helped. even
though the real booth had a car in it we used the spot booth where they do
door, and fender blends (you could still put 8 of my yard barns in it and have
room for a car lol



The rear fenderette saddle bags, and lids were base coated
2012 Cadillac Silver metallic then scuffed



the grapgics were plotter cut then applied then we starte taping everything
up it was a group effort



he laid the black down my girl snapped 300 pic's lol



I laied down a grey shadow on the black to help the silver stand up

everything got taped back off




took cheese cloth fogged it in the exposed silver



then I got to do some more work

The pic's dont do it justice but anyway 4 coates of GM I think its firemist
candy and 3 coats of clear we called it a night




waiting to flash for the clear






hard to see the shadows in the pic's but they are subtle
and I think i did a good job lol

now outter fairing inner fairing front fender and gas tank to go!!
off to grand daughters T ball game and a KZ ride everyone have a great day!
