i like the fact that you are using the z1r front fender.it matches the radius of the front tire better than i had expected it would .

here are a couple pics of modded z1r's with cut down stock type front fenders.

just some food for thought, :P

I like that cut down similar to an ltd length on the front fender. The rad. on the fender is a little big, thinking about using a beasly fiberglass fender for the smaller wheel rad., I may still do that and cut it down like that one. Thanks for the pics leon!

I'm so excited, this is supposed to be my weekend off and I've got to work:angry: . I'm getting on a first name basis with the ups guy and need to get things rolling. At this rate with the overtime I may even put a NEW cnc in the shop this yr. Sorry, just venting:P

Don't sweat it Les, there's no time limit on your build. I know it sucks when you start working so much OT that you don't even have time to spend any of that money.

thats a problem many would like to have.

it is very frustrating tho when you are just itching to get out in the shop and have new boxes of goodies just awaiting your attention.

The cad is either bic or scripto, doesn't seem to make a difference. I make the same mistakes with either:laugh: . I've got autocad but I'm not fluent enough to justify it with the simple parts. I'm actually considering taking classes this spring if time allows.
Leon, I do feel fortunate to have a good position with a booming company but starting to feel used. I've been begging them to hire another skilled toolmaker with deep draw experience but none to be had.
Testarossa, I'm able to spend enough, I've gotten several pretty packages from the ups man:) As for a time limit, I'm really shooting for early June. Have a couple shows I'm wanting to hit, thinking we might hit the mid Ohio meet.
Thanks for the encouragement guys, I just needed to vent, all better nowB)

Depends what you want to do really. I became somewhat proficient with 2D woodworking software for routing plastic sheet stock.

I never made the jump to the SolidWorks program I have. Many tool and mold makers use this. Super slick program that is way more capable than my needs were at the time.

I installed a trial version of Alibre way back. It's worth a look.
