Leon, how are you attaching the blocks to the top triple? Are you going to just weld it on? I'm doing a zx-9 front end swap and was looking at different options for getting the handlebars to work. I'm currently thinking of thru bolting a set of clamps. The type with the rubber isolators on the top and bottom of the upper triple

Plummen, Larry, streetfighter style it is. nothing too extreme. i still want it to look like a KZ. nothing written in stone yet on the rear, but it will be braced. i have to wait until the monoshock/ride height is established.
tubing is suposed to show up today. hopefully i can start some bracing, and get some frame work done. The wife is off all this weekend, and my mother in law is here. Hopefully i can sneak out to the garage without inturuption.

there is an offset bolt that goes through the bottom piece of the clamp and through the upper triple.they can be adjusted forward or backwards.
with the use of spacers they are also height adjustable. :)
which all will make a difference when custom building something for someone across the country or world as i have done in the past.

here's what I do, hook up a grinder and when they come out to check on you start grinding on the first piece of metal nearby. That'll send em runnin

i have seen Adams and slingshots mod with the rear support. i like the fact that it cleans up the look by closing any gaps, and it keeps the swingarm exsposed.....

it does look good.
you just have to make sure to cap the lower tube where you cut it right behind the cradle.might have to cut a section out of some bent tubing to cap it to where it doesn't just look chopped off and capped.

Did Larry ever respond as to how he sleeved his cut in the frame? I'm still curious how this was done and my puny brain can't figure it out...
