I cleaned the main ground to engine and checked for resistance (none). I also found someone... no idea who.... had plugged a hot turn signal wire into a ground causing the main fuse to pop anytime the signal was turned on.
Well you'd think that would be it, but no. The flashers are working very slowly and inconsistently so I ordered a couple new ones. The custom turn signals also have a blown bulb that noone had locally so I had to order a couple of those. And When I tested it the last time the main fuse popped again despite fixing the turn signal wiring so now I'm not sure what is going on. I'm waiting for the new parts to arrive and then I'll try it all again. I wonder if old flashers could be causing the main fuse to pop...??

I did the first test ride!! woo hoo! Ran great and feels great. Minor problem tho. The main fuse blew out 2x in one short ride. Glad I had spares with me! Seems to be happening when headlight and turn signals are on at same time. Any ideas what that is? The main fuse in it is 20 amp. Does that sound right? I need to check the wiring diagram.

I like your bike!
(Are those GPZ rims on your bike?) Please share, bike year, size, etc. I want a set of rims like them.
The stance reminds me of my Enduro KZ900 sidecar bike.

Thanks Nelson!
I'm picking up a Kaw 500 triple ice racing bike with Lester mags in a couple of days.
I want to upgrade the bike to disk brakes and those GZP rims would be perfect!
P.S. My KZ900 Enduro also uses a 78 KZ1000 frame.

I'm experimenting with diff types and thicknesses of foam for the seat. I need to ride it with the diff foams to decide. Once I'm happy with that I can make a cover for it and shoot some beauty shots of the bike Sure is great to have it on the road again!
