you can see where some silver pulled off with the "K" and left primer exposed... agh! I touched up with a brush and cleared it. Not sure if I wanna keep it like this tho. I did better work years ago... grumble grumble. I may have to sand it down and redo some parts to make me happy. I haven't decided yet.

buit i know it sucks to put time into something only to find out it didn't come out as planned.
always gives me a lil bit of a gutted feeling.

if you aren't happy with part of it the quicker you bust it back the quicker you can get it back to where you want it to be.

you got this ,the work you just did proves that you can do some quality work.

Here's a better look at what was bugging me. Messed up "K" and pointy part of stripe has marks on silver and edges of stripe are uneven.

I decided to scuff all the parts with 600 and do some fixin!


new stickers

masked the stripes and did some sponging

I added more sponging with silver but this time tinted darker with One Shot black paint

That's where I'm at now. The next challenge will be to do some white pinstripes on the edges of the silver stripes. I'm practicing pinstriping and it ain't gonna be easy!! After that comes clearcoat again. I think it's gonna be way cooler than the first attempt, so I'm happy with the progress.

I was able to cover and cleanup all the problem areas with this latest work.
