I found a great deal on some 03 z1000 upper triples. These are a great match for the 636 triple and forks and make it easy to mount the high bars. I need help with makeing a sleeve to take up the space between the kz stem and where the z1000 stem was. Machinest says between $50-100 and me supplying the material. Can this be done another way? Ideas?
(it looks offset because the forks are mounted loose and the weight of the bike makes it sag)

See if u can locate a set of Moose dirt bike bars.I have a set on my Radian and they look identical to the concept bike bars.bj

I'd just like to say, this is a great site with lots of good people here. I've dealt with mustangs, jeeps and other projects and have never had the help I've recieved here. Even though my bike is a mutt everyone still helps. I have an even greater respect now for kz riders.

hocbj23, looking for Moose dirt bike bars, got a set of renthal's but they are 1 1/8 but I need 7/8 now because of the z1000 risers.

Thanks for all of the suggestions on bars but I think I found the ones that are on the concept bike and are used on a lot of BMW's. They are rizoma's. A little pricy so i,m going to see if I can locate a used set. I decided to use the z1000 upper triple because it was designed for handlebars and not clipons. I was going to use the 636 upper but I still had to buy risers and drill and Fab them to fit. The z1000 makes it bolt on and I picked them up for 95 bucks. They are about as rare as hen teeth used though. Stunt bike guys use them a lot so they are high in demand.

Bars and front end are on, bearings and custom spacer thanks to Leon. Looks like a texas longhorn steer. renthal fatbars I got for 30 bux. Might change these later for soething a little lower, I'll have to see how it looks completely dressed . Where do you get extended brake lines for a zx10r?
