If leak noise persists after re-torque, could perform a leak-down test to confirm source of the leak.
Or just inject compressed air into the cylinder through the spark plug hole (using a rubber cone shape blower tip) and watch/listen for where the leak presents itself.
Another option would be to clean the engine, allow it to dry, spray foot power onto the suspected leak area (leaves a clean white coating), and then start the engine and watch for where the powder darkens and discolors.
Good Fortune!

Thanks Mark1122 and Patton, all good suggestions, some I would have never thought of. I need to make it last till the end of summer on this if possible. If there is a chance of the relay still happening from Panama city Beach ( Im here now ). I am going to ride it home like it is (280 miles). I dont think Joseph (kzjoe900) is going to be able to make it though. His bike is just not ready yet and Jack (Boostable) isn't going to be able to make it either and he doent have a bike that qualifies on the road now. I think plan B is for Joesph to meet me in Macon GA as soon as his bike is ready.

Hey JyDog, I hope re-torquing will take care of your head gasket for awhile. Panama City Beach is out for me. As you can from my build thread, the bike is running now and feels very strong. But still have to take care of the brakes. And wouldn't be able to make it this weekend anyhow. But I'm hoping we can move the flag this coming week. I'll re-post this message in the relay thread.

Sorry I couldn't make it man, I didn't even consider it being Easter Weekend. I told Joe to let me know when he was ready to go and I will give him some company for the ride. The flag is safe and sound in O-Town.
On another note, it doesn't look like u are loosing to much oil there at the head, should be able to make it without issue. Any lose of power or anything?

Yeah, I had it all pictured in my mind where we had off the flag to you with the beach as a background. Maybe some of the KZR photo shop gurus can chop us in there   Bike looks great Marc!

Thanks Jack,
Thunder beach starts May 2-6 and they have one Oct 10-14th. I've been to it a couple of times. Lots of riders and venues but a little more layed back than Daytona. We need a group of vintage Kawasaki riders to represent. I will have to say I am really glad I built this bike. Way more fun that anything you can buy new and everyone gives you a double take trying to figure out what it is.
I found a couple of Metal Mulisha stickers I thought about sticking on the side of my flat black tank. Only problem is reversing the sticky stuff for the one that goes on the right side.
Here is what it looks like, what do you think?
