sometimes it is worth doing what you do to earn the cash and go pay the guy that can do it right the first time.

but sometimes if you want to learn anyway it is alot of fun/frustration and very rewarding.

can i do it? yes

is it worth my time? no

comes down to that sometimes to  .

hey i'm not knocking learning stuff and i like to work on the bikes a bit more each year...i just was saying that for 165 for a decal set and 200 in paint stuff...i wanted to have someone top notch help me...

i still want to learn ..just not on my two nice body sets...MKII ,900 A-4,

the gpz....the j-model..the other bikes...need some paint when they get ready to be re-done...running,,,.the extra 900 and MKII sets are not going anywhere and will be fun to learn on...

i just wanted a special thing for this MKII....and seeing how special it is ....i now want the 900 to be right....

as far as the other stuff....i have never taken a bike to a shop in yrs....

i am thinking more about the bolt re-plating kits...i saw one member who used one...any folks here have/try this kit...

It gives me diabeetus just looking at it. MMUUSSTT LLOOKK AAWWAAYY! Did your painter do all the prep work? What ballpark are we talking about here? All four appendages and an eye?
Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

the person who painted this one does not get all excited to do em...he WILL paint one. if someone wants, but it is time consuming and tedious for him to turn out these art works unless someone is really ready too ask the right questions ,it may be best to just wait, knowing that it is available when the time comes to save a few bucks for resto paint and you are really ready for a super job...as far as pricing goes that would be a matter to speak with the person directly about....it is easy to save some here..some there...when you know that the final product will be as good as anywhere on the planet can produce and the prep and detail is without match then price is only a finish detail really..

if someone wanted a no details spared top quality from stripping to finish product on any type of bike..or hot rod for that matter...then i would not pause to say this person is it....

i am not a spokesperson and am going out on a limb with my friendship here....but i believe i could put someone in touch if they p.m me...

that said...i am not posting these pics to drum up work...i amm posting them because i think i have a bon  er right now.,.,,
