spur of the moment just to see if she could get a pic....15 passes both ways and nothing but these two even came close to a pic...need a longer sweeper so she can point at a fixed spot...this was a little 20 foot turn off on a blind corner

these tires fall into the corner and the bike is not shook out yet and the 18 rear is wicked weird at first for me

Totally awesome! I've only been to CA twice and I loved it. Now you are combining beautiful California with a MKII....it's killing me!! haha Great pictures.

I hope you didn't yell at Amy for not getting pictures, as tempting as it might have been! haha :laugh:

Hey, you're knee is juuuust about touching....

i need to take an afternoon and find the right continuous setting on my cameras....get her a lawn chair and go to a little high speed section by our house....no i did not yell at her......the first time i took my camera to seca i did not get one good moving pic...not one....

this was in the hallway at the fish and chips place we stopped at...a big group of germans on a west coast harley tour..grand caynon..tahoe...la...oregon...san fran..l.a....and highway one.....all dressed in brand new H.d clothing head to toe.....the women were a tad rugged in the helmet.... and everything they wore was shiny and brand new...they looked like a poster for H.D marketing


guy in santa cruz layed his nozzle on the ground and ran across two gas station islands to yell with a big smile...that was my first bike....huge smile and thumbs up....as he got closer he was puzzled by the MKII not saying dohc on the stator cover...he was staring as we rode off...his pump still laying on the ground next to his truck...:blink:

scored a cool magazine from April 1979...starting to keep a few good mags on each bike.....

you should be able to click the photo and read it then just click on the enlarged article to advance to the next page.....

the writing is pretty anti kawi but...even though they praise the xs eleven and gs1000 over the MKII some...we know better..

there are some other good era articles and i will post those over in another vintage bike mag thread later when i can archive it...i allready scanned em and may heve em up later today
