awesome...i hate that petcock already and i only just got the thing...it is too funky when compared to the older ones...

i have one of the z-1 enterprises cheap petcocks and it is great on my 900...it did have a defective o-ring in it that set it to ,res-off-on, but rob at z-1e sent me a new rubber diaphram right away and two yrs later it operates smooth and still shiny......

so i could cut a nice clean oblong hole and bolt threads in the other side and mount a second plate too right?? (plate and threader petcock)

on an old reg pridmore/vetter racing MKII crashed up tank hanging in my rafters yrs ago it had two mount areas one on each side ...shaped just like those adapter plates....

those 33's in jacks pic look m a lot newer..mine are the old models???

Craig, pm sent on header. The tank opening plate does require a little filing as the CC petcock has a larger diameter than the oem unit.You're right though, no reason not to put a second one on the other side but I found the CC petcock flows fine for my 1075 w/ 29's.

i put an add in KZR classifieds for a possible sawp or swap and cash for some 29's...i have stock pistons i bet..the ports were stock and the cams looked stock....so the 33's may be a P.I.A...

if i dont geta motor head wanting atrade then i'll have to be patient and some 29's will turn up...once i get the pods and starter button control side replaced i'll see how the 28 run for now.......

kinda booked on play time and gonna step back on this till funds recover...

if a guy was willing to wait on pins and needles with fingers crossed...then tickets are usually available on c-list

we have a large military contingent that get like 5-10 tickets for free and dump em at the last minute for cheaper and cheaper as the days tick down...below is the cheapest i've seen yet...c-list is flooded and they drop the price 20 a day right now..come mon the ticks are worthless ect..

I don't have any good pictures but mine has the dual petcocks - same set up on both sides of the tank. Might not be necessary but it's cool anyway!

nice pic by me..shows the layout...that is how i wanna set it up at some point....my smoothbores face backwards on top compared to my 28 stock carbs..if they were ducks then the "head" is faceing turned around....i'm gonna order the palte and spin on cheapo for now and even if it dont make the smoothies clearance ,at least i can dump the vacum petcock....throw it in a drawer i guess..

Sounds like a good idea. Are your other carbs keihin CR's? Those carbs always looked backwards to me - I guess I grew up on Mikunis so that's what I'm use to.

You should have just used masking tape. Rubber smells when it gets burned and makes a bit of a mess. IMHO.
