looking good, but you put the rubber bands on your split colors backwards ! after a few miles it will start running rough if ya dont reverse those rubber bands.

youll probably need to get a scew on petcock and adaptor plate from pingle, that stocker would have a hard time supplying those 33s.all was going good...time frame was looking like start up in an hour or so....THEN...carbs too big to mount tank with the petcock where it is now...will ask later how to solve this......any takers??
so ....off with the smoothbores...off with the intakes boots ....
start the cleaning of the 28mm carbs and try and swap bowls and eliminate the accel pump and linkage

so i was trying to make up for not getting it done by the gp bike nights....but...no go....in the end it may need a new battery...i took the head light fuse out to get it to fire on full choke and it purred up on the foirst touch of the button...then....as i was ready to start adjusting things for a idle and such......the friggin starter button colapsed...i took the cotrol apart and the little brown backing plate was crumbeld under the button...
so ...the carb boots to air box are to hard...new ones or pods...
the starter button is toast ...new right controls...
the battery is questionable....new battery...
and while i'm at it 29 smoothbores whether new or used at this point is gonna be the next bigger purchase...
back in the shop...for a rest i guess...sooo sad...
anyone gotta have some cleaned and podded 33's???

something like this should help with clearance issue, youll need to get the right adaptor plate to fit your tank

i think it will be like that soemwhat but more involved...it is tight with the normal carbs faceing forward...these are reversed on the tops and sit right where the MKII tanks slant more down than others...imo..
gotta see where someone has solved this or just get some 29's

I never thought of the stock petcock being a problem. I had my tank modified - threads were welded in and I run dual pingel valves. Never had a problem with the 33's at all. Maybe the adapter and pingel valve would do the trick.

Yes, one of those and one of these would do the trick! Z1E also offers much cheaper petcocks (like $13 I think) if the pingel is a bit too pricey for you.

Close, the adaptor plate is $23.25 and the Custom Chrome single outlet petcock ( TU49-2600 )is only $13.00 from Z1E. They offer different adaptor plates, the MKll unit has 44mm c/c on the attachment bolts. That hylomar stuff supplied with it is great to seal the adaptor to your tank. Works like a charm on my Mkll w/ 29's ,glad to see the end of the oem vacuum leaker.
