If I didn't want a ZRX so bad then I probably would already own a B12. Nice bike! If you don't mind, send me a pm with what you paid. I like to keep track of these things. I bet you have been riding the wheels off that thing. As long as your KZ has been down, I bet you were jonesing to get the wind in your face.

Just re-read your post and you might not have the same as me. I guess you can look at the reg/rec that jeff supplies on Z1 ent. and see if they're the same.

porchev914 wrote: Out of curiosity, has anyone reading this thread replaced the seperate voltage regulater and rectifier units with a one piece part? I ordered an all in one replacement and it arrived today :woohoo: but it did not come with a wiring diagram. I also hope I got the right unit. Its part #VRRPM3 from Oregon Motorcycle Parts. Its made for a permanant magnet system and 3 wire alternator. Is that what my KZ1000 has? Electrical is my achilles heel, and it gives me a confusing headache every time I have to do anything other than a straight forward wire splice
Boy did I! lol I had some trouble figuring it all out but finally did. I had a wire wrong and my bike wouldn't shut off when I turned the key off...it kept running! Thought it was my ignition switch.
I made some posts on it somewhere...I'll see if I can find them because I can't remember what goes where now!
EDIT: Ok, here's the link to the thread...should help you out.
