:woohoo: I guess its a good thing I'm fitting a longer shaft then, eh Leon? I wouldn't want to disappoint the Mrs! She is after all allowing the expenditures for the project!

I finished machining some threaded bosses for the electrical panel and R/R unit, and welding them to the battery box. It was an exercise in heat control and torch angle due to the thin sheet and the thicker solid round.

Above is the right side R/R mount. Below is the left side electrical panel mount. It needs a little more finishing.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you man. I am back in town though, so we'll have to talk and figure out a good day for you to come up and visit. Thanks for checking in!

Naw, you wont beat me for another year and three months yet, if you thread started when your project did.

I think tectonic plates move faster than my 900 project. I'm sure you'll have your bike done long before my project is.

You're killing me Leon!   Yeah Tyler, I think I started this thread a week after I started tearing the bike down. Even baby steps get you closer to the finish Doug, and baby steps are still much faster than tectonic action! I promised I'd take my 8 year old to the Rock Store, but later I NEED to cut out a bunch of tabs to mount an undertail subframe shield. Then of course make the shield panel
