The homemade offset sprocket works!:P
I switched from a Z1R clutch cable to a KZ cable for a little more length because my new bars are taller. Then I put the cover back on it.
Then I ran it up on the jack stands.
I had to trim the cover a little along with the foot peg mounting bolt for chain clearance, No surprize there.
The chain rubbed the top of the swing arm, the ZRX shocks are longer and they make the wheel sit too low. I had to lower the rear. I bought some 3/4" square tube and made a pair of brackets to reposition the bottom mounting points for the shocks. This gave me a thumbs height of clearance and I can live with that.
I rode it a little, with no brakes... For two miles, on the street in front of my house.
:silly: :silly:
I think it is geared a little lower. My front left rotor is BENT.I have my eye on a matching front rotor (new) and a rear. I ordered all new pads. I don't have any brake lines that are long enough right now. I am trying very hard not to ride it.:woohoo:

That is what i did with the lower shock mount, as well. it works ok , but when i find the right height i will get the mount cut off and relocated. Mine are back a bit farther than yours are. i think yours look to be in a better location. i plan on drilling a couple more holes and moving the shock forward until i find the sweet spot. the bike feels good, but when u go over a bump the rear compresses and then the front gets light. As this occurs u can feel the steering twitch. i think it just needs a little more weight up front. The modern bike have a little more weight bias to the front to help with having less rake. so by raising the rear, this will lessen the rake (not a good thing), and move weight forward. I'm hoping the added forward weight will help. I left the stock ZRX rubber chain guard on the swing arm to help with the chain drag. The other option is a steering damper.
Don’t get me wrong here. It is only a very miner twitch, when hitting bumps, and the bike is very stable at red line in 5th.
Have a close look at the lower onside footped bolts boss on the frame. i had to grind a bit off for more clearance.also i found that the chain will travel 1.5" up the frame rail. i noticed my paint is missing that far up.
How much front sprocket offset did u end up with?

Who's got some good, spare, brake lines,
they can send our friend, to help out here ??B)

I have 1 very nice 19" line that will be a start, but he will need 2 more of similar length to fit the front.Or a 30" and my 19" for a 2 line cross over setup.
He will need about 24" for the back.

Cal have u determined the rear line length yet? do u have the disk and caliper parts??
Cal, the front rotor can be straightened.
i did mine and it works great. just put a dial indicator on it , from the fork to the disk.
Raise the front end so u can spin the wheel.
Mark the high spots , front and back(back side highs are front side lows). Now use a 2x2 piece of wood and a hammer to whack it straight. Hit it through the spokes on the highs on the back side and then the front highs. Just go back and forth till its straight.
I know everyone is going to reject this idea, and call me CRAZY, but trust me , the disks are very soft and bend back easily. what do have to loose? there toast anyways.
Mine were out .080" and now are within .010".B)

I am running a 530 chain now. My offset ended up as the thickness of a sprocket.
I don't think that the swingarm pivot is straight, what a surprize. . The swingarm is a few degrees off to the right. I am sure that this has helped with my chain clearance and allowed me to run such a small offset.
I am thinking about building a jig for this frame so that I can line everything up. I wonder if I can find some blueprints for this frame.

I am not running rear sets on this bike, Not yet anyway. The top of the master cylinder is high up. I'm thinking 32".
The new handlebars are taller and the ZX9 front line will not reach. I will need about 17-18".

This is the assortment I am dealing with. I don't see any 17-32 inchers here.:P :P

I have an ugly old worn out rear disc, THis thing is thin and may not work.:silly:
That front rotor is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off. The center section is bent and we are not talking .080"
Maybe 3/8" ! Yikes!! Here is my solution to the bent rotor.

I just need to get my hands on the right side rotor and the new rear one. I am thinking about a set of "Orange" Galfer lines. That would be fun.:silly:

Are u interested in a used set of lines, just to get u going for now?
How long would they need to be, if u went with a 3 line setup?
I'm thinking 3, 19" lines would be close?
Is this your only ride, are u in a hurry to get it going?
Are u saying that the legs on the arm are bent towards the brake side?

No it's not my only ride. I appreciate your help. I'll just order a set, I think the rear may end up at 34 inches yikes.
I have fooled with that rotor but have decided to scrap it.
