A bit of an update; I'm still waiting for parts so i can change my oil pan and stop that leak. I was looking for options for the next phase of fixing her up one issue being the beat up, ill fitting and ugly original mufflers. I posted a question in the Engine forum and after some excellent assistance ended up buying a full exhaust off a '01 ZR7 that has a Kerker clamped on to it for a total of $87 off eBay. It should be here anytime. Since I have to take the headers off to remove the oil pan anyway it will be going on when I put every thing back together.

I also ordered some inexpensive bar-end mirrors off Amazon. They are AWESOME! One caveat, the lower end of the mount interfered with the end of my clutch lever. I would have had an issue with the brake lever as well if the end of that wasn't already broken off. So, I just grabbed a crescent wrench and snapped off the balled end of the clutch lever.

Not only am I not watching my arms and shoulders cruising down the road, I can see the A-hole in the Lexus trying to give me a rectal exam at speed. The most unexpected thing was that my ride was much quieter. I had no Idea how much those mirrors were causing wind noise and helmet buffeting.

It's going to take some getting used to having to purposely look down a bit to see the mirrors. It's not any more challenging than checking the side mirror on a car just have to make it a new habit.

Can you do me a favor? Take a close up shot of your master cylinder. I think that's the type I have on my bike. I need a diaphragm and want to put in new rubber. The year etc.

Can you measure the top, L&W? Year of bike, model?

Ok, see yr and make in title. I'll see if I can get some good pics by the weekend. I'm going to be sleeping on the couch anyway. My exhaust got here last night and hopefully the oil pan parts will be here by then as well.

The master cylinder (front break) is the original KZ750R1 -82 item.

I found one on eBay used. He is parting out a running bike. :huh: I'll keep looking.

Thanks, I just need a rebuild kit for mine. It came off a duel disk set up but that was 30 years ago and I don't remember what bike.

I snapped some picks yesterday on the way to O'Reilly's to get a compression tester. I'm loosing power some how.

This will be the last time the stock pipes will be on.... unless I do a complete resto but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I'm a bit pissed. I was going to swap out oil pans but as was draining the oil I noticed that my replacement couldn't possibly fit. It doesn't have accommodation for the oil cooler or oil sensor. I bought a double oversized plug and copper crush washer and hope for the best.

I have the header on but don't currently have a suitable clamp. Workin on it along with conjuring up hangers and tracking down gremlins causing power loss.
