Thanks for the input Cory, exactly what I was after!

Les,

My only concern with the O Rings is that they might roll out of the pockets when you rotate your foot from side to side depending on the notch thickness and depth. That was why I was thinking the slices of hose might stay put better. If your adjusting your CNC settings, you might be able to optomize the turned grooves for a particular O ring.

I sincerly appreciate your committment to safety on this!

I'm building a shootout arm for a guy, 10"-14" over with nitrous bottle bracket, air and battery box in it. I built 2 of them, 1 to see just how far we could bend it before we had any failures, over $150 in materials just to test, this guy is going 1642cc gpz based turbo nitrous, he's going to be making stupid big power! There are a few more tricks up his sleeve I'm working on for him but not at liberty to divulge. I really give a shit about what goes into my work! OH, we took a porta power to the back and opened it up from 10-1/4" to over 15" before I decided that was enough, still together and not a single crack!

i think u may be able to find a heavy o ring to work. or u could recut them lengthwise like the vortex pegs.

I'm down with the cross cut idea. Then again I'm not the guy behind the machine.

Cut out the pockets, and cross cut the pegs is my vote. NO o-rings.

Well, for giggles I am putting an order into Fastenal for some "O" Rings and bolts. Will post pics when they get here. Crosscut idea is really nice as well. They look a little to dirtbike-ish for my taste though IMO.

My Gold Wing has O ring highway pegs they do OK when riding with tennis shoes but when I wear my riding Boots (Dump Boots) they roll off.

I have an idea for the pocket if I can Pull it off

Got the rearsets today Les. Wow! The pic does not do them justice. Going to get them on tonight so I can ride with them tomorrow. I'm like a kid in a candy store.

Glad your happy! Now, give us all a rundown of how things go, it's important to me that it's an easy installation for everyone.

i was thinking along that line too.
how about holes drilled in a pattern, or just cut the pattern out. and it would say

KZR

,of coarse. :)
