I have a question for you boys....

I have made the bar clamps for "fat bars", and I am happy with how they look....
but I have been looking at alot of pics latley with bikes that have superbike bars...and clubman style bars...
heres the question....do you guys prefer the "old school" look to the fat bars?
I mean I suppose it is just as easy to make bar clamps for 7/8" bars...just curious....

Personally I'm a classic look type of guy. The next bars going on my bike will be motocross 7/8 bars.

i've been see ing these renthal gold tappered bars as of late and am liking em.....are'nt they made in both 7/8 and larger sizes...sizes.....

how do plan on proceeding,,,,are you gonna make sets of tops and have a choice of fronts to mate to...or is it gonna be made for one donor model only???

The tapered bars (Answer Pro Tapers, Renthal FatBar...)are 1 1/8" at the clamp and taper to 7/8" at the controls. These bars do not have the crossbar and utilize changing wall thickness and large diameter for strength. The 7/8" mount bars are uniform/symetrical with the crossbar for strength.

Personally, I favor the 1 1/8" clamps. If you're going to run Bens triple clamps and the associated forks, you AREN'T going for the classic look :P

With regards to the Answer and Renthal 1 1/8" bars, the bends are all dirt bike specific. There are some ATV bends that are taller with more pull back, but I'd need to know the specs for superbike bars to match a bend Mark.
