here is a pic of seat pan. i cut some metal out of the seat pan and shaped pan to hug tail....you cant see much of the welds but you can see some if you look close. the tail is a early 900 tail

your right , i cant see the welds. that must mean u did a supper job on them. it turned out very good. id like to see some close ups of the tail light as well , and the under tail mount for it. i have a zx12 light waiting to mount.

Nice subtle changes. I'm planning on doing the same thing on my tailpiece. What did the gas cap come from? I'm a fan of how your bike is looking. What's the paint gonna look like?

I have a z1 tank with the same filler mount. trouble is , it sits too far forward and hits my zx9 forks, and when i move it back it hits the seat pan. i will work it out somehow though.
I take it that your is a KZ tank?

gas filler hole is from a older gsx-r tank, i dont know what year and the gas cap is from a gsx-r also but from a newer model b/c the cap is vented, from what i have seen the older gsx-r caps are not vented, they had a vent mounted on front of tank, newer model caps are vented

pic of tail light mount... i used a piece metal 1.5" x 4" (roughly) and bent opposite corners and then bonded a tab inside tail to catch tab on light...light is off a H*#%a somthing...have to dig thru papers to find model/year
light is led with intergraded turn signals
