Are you putting the cable in the but before you apply heat and solider or do you heat up the but and fill it will solider before you insert the cables?

I have it know by adding solider to the but first, but are not sure if I apply enougf solider….
  • Strip the cables back and push into the "Butt" from both sides
  • Apply heat to the centre of the "Butt"
  • Apply solder to the ends of the "Butt" (the solder will be drawn in towards the heat source)
  • Allow to cool before applying the sleeve (if you sleeve when still warm it will likely shrink from the residual heat before you have it in place)

I need to purchase some open barrel ring terminals, is the quality important or is all good ?

I found these:
150 Pcs Silver O-Type Wire Crimp Copper Terminal Connerctor Kit, Cable Ring Terminal, Ring Cable Lugs Copper Lugs, Ring Terminals Connectors Assortment Kit : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools

Don`t want something that brake or rust away... need it for the coils and some ground connections. M4 and M6.

Be Leary of those multi-packs. They are made cheap to sell cheap. Really thin product and if bent too many times will just fall apart. Better ones have more like brass and much beefier. even as small as M6, hard to bend with your fingers.

Okey, its normal to use open barrel to ring also? It was easier to find not ring terminals :)

These don't look bad and you can order the size and quantity you need rather than a multi-pack (most of which you will never use)
