Is the 3-phase stator you got going to work with your rotor?
A 3-phase stator should be able to swap directly into a 1-phase alternator from the 650/700/750 family. Many have reported success with this swap. It requires a 3-phase reg/rec, of course.
In fact, it may be a good idea for mppittman89 to look into it as he is running a Dyna S on his 78 650, or at least keep an eye on battery voltage, especially on long trips.

As for the voltage regulator, from some of your very helpful topics I know a reg-rec from various modern Kawasakis can be used.
EX250. EX500. VN500. and maybe some others that I'm unaware of.

If you are getting no spark at all, that is not likely due to the charging system. I don't think a 1000 will swap in. You need a stator from a 1980 or later 650 or 750-four. Before you buy it, make sure it has the correct outside diameter. To make sure it is 3-phase, make sure it has 18 "spokes" to it (not just 12). Reg/rec can be had from those bikes JMKZHI mentioned. But you will have to splice wires since the connectors might be different.

Be aware fuse 2 is more or less optional. It will help in the event of a battery reversal or a totally shorted rectifier, but most Kz's do not use a fuse in the Fuse 2 position (though some later ones do, but then even later ones seemed to abandon it once again).
Fuse 1 is essentially in the main fuse position.
I normally write the word "optional" near fuse 2.
And as another side note, there should never be a fuse between the junction of Fuse1/ Fuse2 and the battery. That can lead to a system meltdown.

Dyna S with Dyna coils.
There is a wire in the Dyna S loom designated for the oil pressure switch. You can ignore that wire. I'm not sure what color that wire would be with the Dyna S.
