My pilots are .65, main is 127.5, throttle cut away is 2.0. Still a little rich. Good response from idle to WOT.
Check your slide bottom. Are they 1.5 or 2.0?

The needles should be in the middle position while jetting.

ok , so that being said, if I go back to middle position on needles what should I do to jetting to fix them? I have to choke the bike almost every time I start it so maybe a step up on pilots but what is gonna do anything with the ,mid throttle?

I asked what your slide cut away was. I need to know that to give you a accurate answer. If you have a 2.0 like mine, you'll need 60/65 pilots. The pilots have influence through the mid range to less and less degree. The cut away makes it richer or leaner off idle and then up. It's important. I get my pilots and mains at my local Yamaha shop. $2.99 a piece for the pilots compared to $6.99 at jetsrus. They can get me floats too.

Bear in mind you should have to use the choke when cold or it's too rich.

I saw 1.5on the top of the slide when I adjusted needles but the guy I bought them from said the slides had been cut 60seems really big as compared to the 17.5s that were in them when I got them I do feel like it's lean on bottom because I have to use the choke every time I start it, not just when it's cold these carbs have been a PITA as compared to the bs34s I used to run I never had this much trouble w them!

The slides have been cut? That might mean they are 2.0 or 2.5. Even leaner. Split the difference and go 40's. See what that does. I'm still to rich at 65 and will try 60's. If too lean, I'll try the needle. That's only a test. I wouldn't do anything to the slides until I'm sure. I can also reopen the holes one by one on the emulsion tubes to lean it out. The PO drilled them so I soldered the ones that he added. One thing at a time.

When I started with them there was a big flat spot just off idle. Pilots were 70's, 80 is the max, mains were at least 130's (drilled out) so I went to 127.5's to lean it out at WOT. Still too rich. I noticed all the holes the PO made. I've done this before but on 2 strokes. I soldered the extra holes and the flat spot went away. Still too rich but better. Before I did my valves I had 60's in there but it was too lean again once they were done. Now I get to start over. I have stock 1015 pistons in it now so I won't do anything besides jets or the needles until I put in my 10.25/1 Wisecos.
The nossels and needles may have been changed as well. There is a chart on jetsrus to compare to. You never know what the PO did to them.
