i agree -needle and seats .the most problems i had with carbs is dirt, clogged jets, the varnish that is built up and is hard to dissolve .i use a ultrasonic cleaner at work with mineral spirits- than a good detergent (simple green) and i strip multi strand copper wire and i use that to poke out all the jets and small passages .twisit it together for the size you need.

The 33's are a high volume carb. There is a tube going to all the carbs providing fuel. That's why it seems like all the carbs are leaking. The floats are hollow brass. Take them out and shake them to see if they're full of fuel. Put them all in water and see how they float. One solder joint developed a crack and I was able to re solder it but it's too heavy to trust. The replacements are available at jetsrus about $40 and a good chart as well. Let me know what you find.

That's not what they look like. These have a screen on top of each one. The seat is larger than the 28 or 29's. One thing commonly overlooked is the gasket that seals the seat when screwed in. If it's bad, it will leak. He said flooding. Float.

There are two fuel inlets. One on 1 and one on 3. I have floats set all the way to 32mm off base and I tied wire around all four carbs to hold floats in point of contact on needles just barely pushing the springs. Put gas on fuel like and all 4 seat. No leaking. Put bowls on and they run gas out of number 1 and 2. 3 and 4 seem sealed. No floats seem to be taking on gas. I'm about to just replace all needles and seats

Floats are 14.00 at z1. Needle and seats are 20.00. Just don't know what to replace when needles seat and floats float! Gaskets are all there on seats

Did you check when there was fuel in the floats? You have to check them with fuel in them to get a acurate reading. I made mine 20 years ago out of a Mini Mag light end. You could get a plastic adapter you can sand down enough to screw in at the hardware store.

I made a clear tube tester from a rubber stopper and weedeater fuel line. I can watch the fuel slowly come up in the line until it runs out of the bore
