You wont know for sure what is best for your engine unless you have an amazing butt-dyno or you throw it on a real one. Just getting it to a particular afr at a particular rpm whatever, is going to be off from actual best power to the ground for sure.

Dyno, dyno, dyno, dyno... its the only real way unfortunately.

Digital butt dyno: veypor.com/vr2.html

I think I'm going to give this one a shot.

Thats pretty cool Josh. I haven't priced an LMA-3 lately, but it might be cheaper than the Veypor, and it would sync with your LM2 data. Like I said, you're welcome to try mine out if you like.

Looks like the DL32 goes for about $500 these days. I really like the features of the Veypor VR-2 and it's less than half the price. It gives me a speedo and an accurate tach. My old tach works about as well as can be expected, but since I have been getting a digital signal off the LM-2, I have discovered that the factory tach is a bit "optimistic."

I revised my post, I meant the LMA-3, not the DL32

Yeah that one's only about $250, but the Veypor is $229.

Ok guys, I need to get off my ass tonight and post my latest info. I have logs of the bike in three different configurations. First is 17.5 pilots, 4th clip, and 122.5 mains. Next is 17.5 pilots, 4th clip, and 125 mains. Last is 20 pilots, 4th clip, and 125 mains. I also stuck my memory card in so I can run a log on the way home from work today. That should give me a good 30 min run.

The weather has been so nice that I have been just enjoying the riding. I'll try and get on it tonight. Oh yeah, I'll probably just get myself that VR2 as a birthday present.

Here is the first log from February 14. The high temperature was observed at 74*F and I was riding at about 3:00 pm. I had #17.5 pilot jets, needles on the 4th clip, and #122.5 main jets. I realize that I had the throttle position scale obscured but the spike in throttle position in the next post between 16:15 and 16:20 is full throttle. Also note that I got the scale included in the later screen captures. It does not change.
