Yes indeed.Larry has a yacht full of BS34s I am sure he would donate to the cause. They are currently welded to his anchor cable, but I bet he would free up a rack for a test--or maybe not.He could be proven wrong and therefor earn himself a seat on that short yellow bus he set up for some of the rest of us.Well,Lar,what about it?Chain-chain-chain,chain of fools.bj

That's actually kind of a slick mount setup. I have to say this, even though I know you're already thinking about it. JUST MAKE SURE that nothing can jam the bell crank and hold your throttle WFO. Loctite the screws and check it over frequently.
Another approach would be to extend the throttle shaft and put the TPS on the right hand end, similar to the oem DFI setup. Being a machinist, you could probably make that happen fairly easily I would think... Just a thought
I found a scrap piece of 16ga to make a mounting bracket for the sensor. The sensor was from a 1988 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. It doesn't really matter what car the sensor comes from, as long as it outputs a 0-5 VDC signal. This one just happened to be the cheapest TPS that was on a buy it now auction. I had to epoxy a RC servo arm to the sensor so that I could attach it to my linkage.

Testarossa,
Did you consider using a tps from Kawi's K-tric? I believe it works off the end of the throttle shaft like LC suggested and it would be a Kawi part...but that would also mean trashing what you already have

LC, what sort of injection is that?
(Ok, ok, it's FUEL injection, but what is it from, what sort of brain will it use, fuel pump, etc??)

Thanks for all the input guys. BJ, I do have a set of BS34's. Got 'em for $10 when I bought that GSXR750 that donated all of it's suspension. Think I overpaid? I bet I know what Larry will say. I'd try them out just for grins, but I'd have to spend another $60 on a set of boots. We'll see....
As for the TPS mounting. I had thought of directly attaching it to the end of the throttle shaft. I could simply mill a slot in the end of the shaft, then drill and tap it. Then I could turn an extension with a spline to engage the slot. This method didn't cost me any machine time at work, which was preferable. I seem to stay busy at work for the past year.
TexasKZ, no I hadn't thought of that, but it's a moot point now. I got this setup working today. I worked on hard wiring everything this morning, and all my tests were going well. Until I smoked my little car charger thingy. I managed to ground out one of the hot wires when I was trying to solder it. So off to Radio Shack for a 7805 IC voltage regulator. Not too bad, they sell 'em for $1.59. Got that installed in place of the dead car charger. I got a couple of good run logs which I can post for anyone who has the Innovate Logworks software. Not sure how many that would benifit, so let me know if you are interested. I'm not sure if I could take a screen capture of the graph so that everyone can see. Give me some time.

I decided to make a little video so that everyone can at least see the LM-2 in action. Still working on how to get screen shots of the data analysis for you guys.

man, that's kinda tough to figure without contextual information. I'm gonna have to take a wild stab and guess that you were cruising part throttle(just off idle) in 1st around 10mph, and then you ran it through the box going full throttle, shuttting it off when you shift. I bet you got going pretty fast in that 5 seconds or so, but it seems pretty good when you think about it. Goes real lean only when the throttle snaps shut. 13 to 1 at full throttle every gear? Hair bigger main? Lean out the pilot?
 :woohoo: This is fun. Can't wait to hear what others have to say.
