Worked for me but try this.


I messed with it some more last night it's shifting the 1-2 shift but will make the next shift so I'll call D/D today
and see what they say.

VM 29 smooth bore's.
Dyna 2000 Ign. w/Dyna mini coil's
APE cylinder stud's and nut's.
APE valve spring's.

I Found what I was doing wrong in the setup programming it work's now.

In this step I read it as I need to set it for 1,2,3,4 shift's but turns out setting it for
one of those it turned OFF the ign. kill those settings are for if you have a auto shift tranny.

For those that don't know there is a mod. you can do to a lot of bike tranny's that will make it
auto shift but you CAN NOT compression brake while in one of the auto shift gear's.

Little update since I got the box working right I've been able to play with the rpm setting's and kill time's
and right now a 9500 rpm 1-2 shift feel's like the Astro van pulling off from a red light doing the 1-2 shift.

Why not a shift point at 10,500 or a little higher? My stock 750 cams are red lined at 9,500 but I thought with the GPZ cams its more like 10,500 +.

For one I was on the street and two factory red line is 9800 if I remember right.
I have foot shifted at 11,500 but with stock cams there's no reason to turn it that hard.

Looks like Revivalcycle's here in Austin that puts on the Handbuilt show is going to have a race at little River
for the vintage/cafe bike's. Think I'll show up with my little 650 and see if I can hurt a few feeling's. :evil: :evil:

Well what started as a simple valve adjustment and compression test turned in to the top end coming off.
Intake's where .004, .005, .004, .004.
Exh. where .003, 003, .003, .007
Did the comp. check and cyl. four was 30 psi lower then the other's so pulled it apart
and found #4 intake valve not seating right so I'll relap all the valve's and see what the seat's look like.
Cylinder's and piston's look like they have never been ran other then some carbon on the domes.
