So was thinking since I beat the shit out of the bike all weekend I'd be nice to it
so I put the licence plate back on tonight and rode it to the bar and bought it a beer. B)

This is great progress for you.

A side note, the carbon on the piston top in the picture above, was it showing consistent on all 4 pistons at the time? I saw this same thing with my race and street bike engines, and I was informed that it is the additives in the pump gas fuel causes this carbon build up. On the road race bike I switched to the lowest octane race gas offered at the track, because it doesn't have the additives like that of pump gas. I didn't switch for the though of more power, but for a cleaner burn. I believe 100 Octane was the lowest at all of the tracks of the 3 levels of fuel offered. Just something to think about.

Corey yes the carbon was about the same on all four piston's so yes it could be the additive
as I do street ride it some on 93 octane E10 pump gas.
At the track I've been running 100 octane Sunoco fuel but this last time out the lowest they had was 110 octane
which is way to high for my 10 3/4 comp motor so I got a gallon and cut it with a 1/2 gal. of 87 octane E10 pump gas.

At work we're a VP fuel dealer for their small engine fuel's we have their 93 octane NON ethanol fuel
in 55 gal. barrel'sI did run a few gal. of that on the street one time just to see and it seemed to run better
then the pump shit.

Damn I love riding this thing :)
Night before last got out for a little ride around the hood it was a little cold temps high 40's
bike ran great but it did take a damn good burnout to get the tire to hook on the cold street.

Not saying I was out on a cold ass night doing things that needed the bike to hook on a cold street
but there is a sportbike boy with an R6 of some year thats now butt hurt. :evil:

Got the bike out night before last and met up with my buddy Dan on his 99 ZRX1100 and burned up 3/4 tank of gas.
Started in north Austin jumped on I-35 blasted to south Austin about 25 miles at 70 mph
for a bike night deal then took surface streets back north through downtown.
On the way back playing on a side street we did a 20 mph first gear hit I pulled him to the
top of my 4th gear he started to come around me as we passed the two cop's in the parking lot.

Patting my own back for a minute I've built one bad ass 100% street legal KZ650 ;)

Think about it in the last month I've been to the track twice and on a spin the tire launch it went 7.18 1/8 mile.
Took it back to the shop put the tag back on, put the baffle back in, turned a knob on the Dyna 2000 ign. box
took 5 degrees total timing out and put 93 octane pump gas in it and went blasting down the freeway
and have put about 150 street mile's on it since .
I could go right now and flip the switch and go burn a tank of gas on the street or put it on the trailer and go to the track.
