Had some renewed US interest in these so thought i'd put this out there again.
Air Corrector jets for Z650,Z1,Z900,Z1000 and also Suzuki GS 750,850,1000..
These are machined to order by me in the UK for Z1 club and forum members.
They are for VM 24, 26 and 28mm round slide Mikunis and are essential when ditching the airbox and running pods, velocity stacks or open carbs to cure the off idle flat spot and improve overall performance.

A brief explanation of their function and use for those who don't know.
These are for use with pods, open carbs and velocity stacks … NOT to be used with airbox ( unless it has been cut open and offers virtually no restriction ).
They simply screw in the air bleed to needle jet tube in the mouth of the carb ( You tap this m5 at 8mm deep . No drilling required )..
( They do NOT go in the pilot air bleed )..
Fit and forget then make adjustments as normal to the main to suit engine size/tune..
Keep the jet needle in original position..
If the jet needle has been lifted as usual in an attempt to mask the issue it MUST be returned to the stock position.
They compensate for the extra air flow and higher venturi pressure at low speeds that results when removing the airbox which then weakens the off idle mix and causes the flat spot and bogging at around 2k rpms..
Helps improve running throughout the rev range and gives an average increase of 2 to 6 HP overall …
Beware of using cheap pods as these can be restrictive. Use only good quality K&N etc.

They are £32 a set posted within the UK + £28 per additional set on same order and substantial discount for bulk orders of 10 sets or more.

Overseas shipping at cost which is currently £7.35 to US but will round that down to £37 a set posted with additional sets as above at £28.

Items will be sent tracked and signed for..

PM me or reply on this thread to order.
Thanks..

It's Royal Mail First class tracked and signed this side and switches to USPS at yours.
This side shows they have left the country and are on route.
Some I sent a few days earlier are showing delivery for today.
The tracking always seems to go quiet then all of a sudden it shows up as delivered.
I think their internet system is still on dial up

Zed1015, will these work with the same results on 28mm with accelerator pump?

YES!
Although the accel pump may go someway to momentarily masking the flat spot due to the added fuel it provides, it only activates one hit on acceleration but the jets correct the issue permanently as if the airbox was still in place and also improves performance at constant speeds where the accel pump is not active.
Remember that the jets are only needed if you are NOT using the stock unmodified airbox.

Can you tell us what size these are. It looks like the recommended BS30/97 air jets for the VM29 are "0.9". I don't know if that number is an actual measurement, or just a part number. But I'm interested in which size BS30/97 your parts are most similar to.

The BS30/97 jets perform exactly the same function as these but they will not fit the VM 24 through 28 as they are smaller at 4mm and would just fall into the air bleed passage .
I would say the 0.9" is a code or part number as that equates to a massive 22.86 mm and even 0.09" is 2.286mm which is still too large.

At the request of some members .
Here's a pic to clarify the correct location of the air jets.
On the left pair they go in the 4 o'clock position and the right pair at 8 o'clock as highlighted in white in the pic.
This is the air bleed to the needle jet (emulsion ) tube..( NOT the pilot jet bleed )
Beware of some carb banks with the FUEL mix screw underneath which were made up of all right hand or all left hand carb bodies and do not have an air mix screw on the side but just a blank.
In this case the jet bleed will be either all 4 o'clock or all 8 o'clock..
Whatever the case this bleed is always opposite the pilot air bleed whether it is blank or not.

Zed1015, the air corrector jets arrived today. Thank you. You mentioned to tap the air bleed to needle jet port M5 to a depth of 8MM. Is the 8MM critical. Is that what causes the correction jet to tighten as it bottoms out on the last thread? Do you recommend and thread locker on the jet before install.

It's 8mm just because that's the length of the jet and it doesn't need to be any deeper.
Just enough to put the jet flush or just below the surface of the carb mouth.
Jet needs no thread lock, just lightly nip it up as it bottoms out..

Sorry should have asked this in the last line of questioning... What type of tap. Standard tapered or a flat bottoming tap???

Is the M5 tap only one thread pitch???

I think a bunch of folks out there in Z-land owe zed1015 a huge thank you. As useable air filter boxes, and eventually filters, become harder and harder to find, more folks will need these to keep old zeds on the road.
