I only see one locating dowel. I assume you had two dowels per cap?

In the end, I reassembled the camshafts with the old bearings and it worked!
It turned on immediately and I had it on until it got warm.
It feels very powerful but I see that it releases a little smoke from the exhaust, could it be that everything is very new?
I am not a mechanic or a painter, it is because in these parts there are no reliable laborers and I decided to do everything myself
myself.I add some photos of the process.

A little smoke following assembly is ok, everything needs to bed in. Give it a few miles (maybe 100 or so) and it should clear.

I see that they are something like 160 km, thanks for the information.
Is it better to buy the camshaft bearings in Japan?
I was already a little scared with that, the engine breaks down.

I did clean everything thoroughly, but the first time they failed I hadn't used grease, just oil, I started using grease on the second try.

Glade you got it sorted. I will be installing a new set of cam bearing in a Z1900 soon. So with your issue and Maui's issue I will be checking clearance. I have installed probably 7 set of those bearings over the last few years without any issues, but you never know. Always good to check.
One thing I have heard is you should not touch the surface of those bearings with your finger tips, wear gloves so you don't transfer oil from you skin to the bearing, which presumably can cause issues. I don't know how much truth there is to that but I wear gloves and wipe the bearings down with contact cleaner before I install the cam with assembly lube. Maybe others can add to this.

You got my curiosity up with your problems with the cam bearings. I opened up a few bags of O.E.M. Kawasaki cam bearings (#13034-030) and did some checking of the one I have on hand. Looking at the photo of all your replacement cam bearings one thing I think I see is that there does not seem to be any chamfer on the oil hole. All the bearing halves I have on hand have a slight nicely chamfered edge on the trust side of the oil hole!!!!! My old and retired eyes might not see them on your bearings, but mine all have it. The other thing I noticed every one of my O.E.M. bearing halves on the backside of them are 'D5A' and 'STD' stamped on them!!! Along with an company insignia. Bet you 10 to 1 that Kawasaki factory bought these bearing halves from an outside supplier in Japan. I wonder if somebody out there found another supplier of that same size cam bearing???? Check and see if your cam bearings have those stampings on them. If not I just wonder if those bearings are not actually identical in size or quality to the REAL KAWASAKI cam bearings...........
Notice the chamfer around the oil hole on factory bearing
I don't see that same amount of chamfer on your cam bearings around the oil hole.
The markings on the backside of factory Kawasaki bearing halves.

Hello, the bearing hole does not have a chamfer. The hole feels sharp, and the reverse is completely smooth without any inscription. It also appears to be all of the same material with no steel back, although I can't be sure.
