You know the KZ1000 has removable cam bearings, right? Are you looking at a damaged plain bearing?

Yeah I didn't have enough light or time, was focused on valve adjustment. I should be able to just replace bearings then. If not, I'll chime in again. For future reference though, if a journal on a 750 ever became scarred, can you machine those heads?
