So if is welding this it will need a line bore/hone after weld process?
Ok so we talked about what to do and we will try a Big Time sert insert .
Never tried this before but looks good and also perfect measurments for this repair.Updates this when done and also told
you that it is cylinder stud,its not it is crank bearing side.

Id say its way to close to bore where main bearing sits,by the time you get the hole welded up I think youd warp too many machined areas.swest wrote: He can fill the hole, file it even, put the bearing in and cap, then start the new hole with the cap in place. That's how I'd do it anyway.

First thing ,cleaning, Loctite repair compound,cured 72 hours, then i mounted a big time sert.i made up a simple drill jig alumium plate.
As seen on one of the Pictures i order a extra lenght Insert. I t is my first experience wite time sert and it felt very solid.But the last Picture is number one, not shure why that happend. Rune
