How about a whole lot of displacement with some boost to go with it?donthaveakawman wrote: there really is no good replacement for displacement.

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

Here's a guy who already tried some of this and has real numbers oldskoolsuzuki.info/uk_lee/Thebikes/GPz/GPzDyno.htm
The dyno test he posted shows 67rwhp and 45lbft of torque. Looks like the engine made about 58hp in stock form and he ultimately got it to put out 72rwhp and 50 lbft using a head with bigger valves and bigger cams.
On the other hand, the 750 Turbo made about 90rwhp stock. Minor tweaking to boost pressure could get you over 100 easily. From there, sky's the limit. Here are some guys that know what they're doing with a 750 Turbo www.750turbo.com/fastones.htm

kz750 is factory rated of 74 horsepower in 1980 a jet kit advertised that I looked at will give you another 8 percent with a k&n filter for the airbox and an exhaust, a stage 3 will get you 10-15 percent gains with a expensive exhaust and pod filters which 74 x .15 will not even get you up to 90 horsepower.

A small kz head that flows 88cfm can produce 130hp.
A plain j head (not gpz) flows 84cfm stock and can produce upwards of 130hp
A 750cc head that flows what? 55 or 60 something cfm should allow 100hp?
Hey ask the elephant! NOt only he take out the garbage, he tells you how many shots
of nitrous you need as he bites through your tootsiepop.

And tracks are for racing, not streets.
Also do they even allow turbo bikes in the vintage race class? So i guess i wont hit 100hp. But how can i increase torque? The bike has pretty good pull coming out of a corner in 2nd or 3rd gear but top of 4th is where she just kind of levels off.
Like i said im building to to be a cafe racer, so light and manuverable with decent power. I dont like top speed i like the acceleration. So i guess i should of made the title, how to get 100 foot pounds of torque lol.
Cheers
Jason
The problem with a turbo is turbo lag, its going to take a while for the turbo to kick in and when it does you may have to chase down your bike. I would definitely go with a blower if forced induction were my route.

8.4 seconds later, Nads had chased down and remounted the bike, to resume lead position and win the race!
Not just anybody is capable of performing such feat.
Good Fortune!
