I agree with Wireman, Stickers reduce the effects of friction between your bike and the surrounding air....... making you go faster......like Go-faster-stripes on a car......for sure

Just out of curiosity how hard would it be to turbo my bike? I have a TD04L lying around. but id imagine thats to big of a turbo.

And tracks are for racing, not streets.

Also do they even allow turbo bikes in the vintage race class? So i guess i wont hit 100hp. But how can i increase torque? The bike has pretty good pull coming out of a corner in 2nd or 3rd gear but top of 4th is where she just kind of levels off.

Like i said im building to to be a cafe racer, so light and manuverable with decent power. I dont like top speed i like the acceleration. So i guess i should of made the title, how to get 100 foot pounds of torque lol.

Cheers
Jason

Hahaha and i thought my JEEP addiction was bad; my Kz addiction is just as bad!!!

the first thing u need to do is find out what VERRA or what ever organisation u run in, allows in the Vintage class u want to run in.

then choose your mods. u may have cc restrictions, that dont allow 810 kits ?

Chain and sprockets, switch from the stock 630 size chain to 530.
This conversion is done all the time, lighter rotating weight, less work for the engine.
Figure out what your current ratio is by tooth count, rear divided by counter( front ).
When ordering new sprockets, look for a similar 530 ratio.
The count will be different because of the actual size of the part.
When you find that ratio go one down on the counter from that.
i.e. (630,33/13=2.53)(530,40/16=2.5)(530,40/15=2.66))

And a tune up, making sure everything, carbs, ignition, wheels, brakes and suspension are performing at their best.

All the horsepower in the world won't get you around a turn. Focus on suspension and chassis setup, then the engine. You'll be way more competitive on a bike that handles well with a stock engine than a 300hp turd.

theres lots of info about turbo projects around... there are also kits about. youd need to beef up your motor , make or find an exhaust manifold, intake plenum, single carb, if your handy with a welder you can do it but its gonna take dedication. low boost shouldnt be unrealistic to get more than your goal.
these would be too big lol

these guys are all right. you gotta pick a direction and go for it. but if your gonna shoot for a certain class get the rule book first and a hot high compression motor wont live long so theres no point in building the crap out of it just to hit a mark.
