If "A" that means things are connected at the solenoid and battery, if it cranks when jumping across the solenoid. but if that works, but it still doesn't with the start button, key on and clutch pulled then there are more issues to sort out.

I like Red Ale, but I doubt your riding to Oregon. :P :woohoo:

Ok, thanks for the response. I did however try the screwdriver with the positive wire coming down and the (terminal) around the post sticking out of the starter relay, with no prevail. But i dont think I had the other side connect, i believe their was a terminal (loop) on that end (if my terminology is correct). I didnt get anything but dont think i was paying to close attention. I will update.

And I dont think Oregon is to far from Bensalem. I mean just how far is a city from outside northeast philly to Oregon? 100 days of hitch hiking assuming the bike breaks down two minutes from my house?

You need the Big Battery Cable to be connected at the solenoid, one side from the battery, the other to the starter. The smaller terminal with the ring end Red/ White goes on with the battery cable side. this powers the Bike electrical not the starter. the starter is supplied with a lot of Juice/ Current through the battery cables. The solenoid basically breaks the positive battery cable into two pieces, and is an electromagnetic switch. It energizes when you hit the start button all things being correct.

Spark? you mean at the spark plugs? If you are jumping across the solenoid, with a socket extension, and have the Key On, hopefully you will get spark to the plugs. To test that you need the plugs out, and laid so they can get contact to the head with the outside diameter of the plugs metal body. Then see if you get a nice blue spark.

Sorry I wasn't specific, what I meant to say was what if I use the screw driver to test that solenoid posts, but the engine doesn't click ? Hopefully not a more serious problem?

Ok, well if the starter doesn't turn then with a jump across the two solenoid posts, and the battery is charged, and the Negative cable is connected to both the battery and the rear of the engine block. I would say the starter has a problem. But that is without doing the test, just instructing on how. So you could still have a poor connection. Just keep in mind the starter draws a lot of power, Amperage, so it needs good clean connections of the battery cables and the battery must be good and charged properly.

Ok, if anyone is reading here is a picture I took today, think this might be the problem?
I took out the solenoid/relay and noticed the black wire was not connected anywhere/ looked like it broke or slipped from the rubber/plastic(Black) tape looking thing. Any ideas?

Thats the starter solenoid for your electric starter. Doesn't look as though there are any battery cables hooked to it either.

Yea, i pulled it out/off the battery cables and followed where all the wires went too. I found it interesting that the ground wire wasnt connected to anything. Those were the wires connected inside the solenoid, i didnt try to pull it apart. should I try and connect that black wire back in that plastic wrapping. Soldering? idk...thanks motor Head, you have been a great help!!

Those two small wires on the solenoid, one is power from the start button, the other is ground. Doesn't matter which one you connect to either. Ass long as one has power when you push the start button, key on and clutch pulled in. The other to ground to complete the circuit.
