Yes, provided it's a good fully charged battery, until the battery runs down.
A good fully charged battery will power a bike's ignition system for quite a long time.
Some road racers run with a total loss electrical system without any charging components.

A good fully charged battery should be used when testing.
Too high may result from a defective regulator (or faulty wiring).
Too low may result from a defective rectifier and/or alternator (or faulty wiring).

I think the GpZ 750 had clip-on style handlebars rather than a single bar. If it's an '83 KZ750-L3 the fairing has been added (maybe from a GpZ) to make it look very much like a GpZ. Maybe the VIN would shed some light on it. Ed
