Thanks for that link, i found it earlier on another thread which has proven helpful. I have been tracking the postive wire but found no flasher relay

lol no that's a flasher relay it shouldn't have any impact on why it's not starting. There's a lot of corrosion all over the place (white stuff) take some cola and a old tooth bush and scrub it clean. Is the white stuff all over the battery posts?? or wires??

However there doesnt seem to be any more corrosion anywhere else in that area. The flasher relay kinda got everywhere. Battery posts are clean.

The first picture you posted on the second page it's on the far right (IMG_0655.JPG) your positive battery cable runs to it. In the pic it has a black/yellow wire running into the thick black cable

And I can test this to see if that is the problem, this stuff confuses me but makes me want to fix it that much more, best way to test this, I know you mention it with a screw driver?

There are 2 posts coming off of the solenoid, each with a thick wire. 1 runs to your starter and the other to your positive battery post if you take a screwdriver and connect those two posts together your starter should spin. If it spins, then you can either have a bad soleniod or a bad/corroded connection somewhere.

"Flasher relay" likely refers to the flasher itself.

The picture you have there s the starter relay, two big terminals that take nuts 12mm socket. These are for your starter circuit. One big post will have a cable going down to the starter motor itself, under a cover on the left side of the motor. The other big post of the starter solenoid has the positive battery cable going to it, and a 10gauge wire running to your fuse panel, main fuse and the Regulator Rectifier where the charging system replenishes the battery.
If you have the two big terminals hooked up correctly, then you should be able to jump across them with a socket extension and have the starter turn the engine.

Ok, thanks for all the responses and help it truly means a lot. I will attempt this tomorrow. Just a quick question, if all is intact and connected, A. there should be some type of spark if not engine atleast trying to turn or B. nothing happens

If A is true in the basic sense (sparks or engine does something), what does that mean? good newsbad news lol?
