I then fired the 1075 engine. I had fired it up some while ago but I wanted to make sure it was oiling good and I didn't want to make a mess on my friends floor. I made a mess on my floor so it must be good.
I then started getting the 900 engine ready to fire. I had to install the stator and add oil. I will rob the ignition off of the wrecked bike tofire this one up with.
I had to install a starter on the 900 as the one on it was not spinning the engine very well. This engine has gobs of compression and does not turn over very fast. I turned the engine over by hand and it is smooth.
Here is the cam lobes. Need closer shots?

If that's at true TDC, the cams are running split centers. Perhaps 106/111 or so.
Setup in a good street motor 1075 or 1197 with some 34 or 36mm carbs and 95+ cfm head....hang on buddy...you're going for a ride
Send me a clean, good head, guides & seals & the cams...wait patiently, toss those BS34's aside and get yourself some real carburetors if you can afford them. I'll take care of you Roy

This LTD engine is still unknown as to what pistons, valve springs, and bottom end. I really need the top end for the 76 A4. Man I hate to tear down a good engine for the cylinders and pistons but this engine is off a 1976 LTD and I would like to sell the frame and engine together.
The cams would work in the 1075.
The head that came off the 76 A4 has two plugs broke off flush and I haven't even looked at it yet. That engine has 10,000 miles.
I always thougt if I won the lottery I would have you build me a engine as thet is the only way I could afford it.
It would probably be best to pull the cams and put them on the shelf and try and get the head lined out.
I fired the LTD engine yesterday. I am going to try and run it today.
Let me think, There is a lot going on around here. Roy

I will try and remember the wifes camera and post a vid. Roy
I will start tearing down the 76 A4 for paint and use this engine on it. It is just the easiest way to go. Roy

It is beginning to make me suspect that the pistons might not be stock either. I do doubt that anyone would run stock valve springs either.
Time will tell. Roy

They won't be stock pistons Roy Sounds to me like you have a potential hot rod on your hands A hand full of throttle ought to put some lead in your pencil :woohoo:
