Put tape measure behind a rod at BDC and TDC. That would put this issue to bed.... er I think... whats this all about anyways?
If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

Good eye! I wonder if that piston came in the box because it definitely doesn't belong with the other 3. Ed

This guy has been trying to pick a fight with me since last year. (school yard bully). As I said on another thread that had nothing to do with a 750 crank, when I put in my new 10.25/1 piston I lunched almost two years ago, I will take pics of the deck height, rods and crank markings. He accused mt of lying about even having a Z2 crank. I do, he's a jerk, I will do this in time, not when he tries to badger me into it.
The piston in question is what Z1E sent to me. That held me up for another two weeks. If you'll notice, the numbers on the boxes all match. Someone switched a piston. Why is anyone's guess.
The thing I don't understand is, why the deck height was even with the 10.25/1 pistons and now with the stock pistons they were 2 mm lower? Clearly if the rod or rod/crank is 8 mm shorter, I would have noticed it and wouldn't have runable compression.
If things go as they should, I will be able to do a final tear down and put thing to bed in mid summer when it's too hot to ride anyway.
BTW, I have my eye on a 903 crank and some have been offered here. At that point it will be my option to put in a 903 crank or keep the 750 one. That remains to be seen.
As I said before, I can sell the Z2 crank on eBay for a lot more because it is so rare.
I've been collecting items for when the time comes.

I started this thread to photo document this build. More to come.

Stop being jealous and buy a bigger bike. You are ignoring the fact that some Z2's did make it to the US as stated by another member. When the time comes, I will post pics. You a malcontent will just find something else to bark about. Enjoy. B)

Just tryin to sort it out.

You have a z1b, and built the engine with a z2 crank rods and block, and put bigger pistons in it. Or am I missing something? Cases trans and head are from a 900 then?
