Once you are at the Google map you will see an 'EDIT' button. You will only see the 'EDIT' button if you are logged into your Google account (your own account, nothing to do with the relay). If you don't have a Google account, create one. Then try again. Left click on the 'EDIT' button, then move the mouse pointer to your location on the map and right click which pops up a small menu window, choose
'Add a placmark'. At that point you can put in your information, and so on...
Don't forget to hit the save button after you're done. Good luck.
Joe

The red dots show specific areas where riders have agreed to participate, the blue dots show the states, but not specific areas where riders have agreed to participate. There are also 4 riders in Canada not yet shown on my map. The Google map may have better info, but I cannot seem to get to it. Anyway, there are whole big chunks of the country where there are no KZRiders? What, they don’t allow motorcycles in those states? And I guess some states, like New York and Texas must have such a tiny populations that none of their citizens have ever even seen a motorcycle.

Here's a guy who figured out the shortest route through all 48 states. Also nice because it's a circle. You don't have to start in FL or Maine, etc.
www.barrystiefel.com/50_states_in_a_weeks_vacation/planning.htm
And here's his map:
He just barely touches some states. We wouldn't have to follow this exactly but it might help in putting an order to which states come where in the circuit. If I organize VA I'll know I come right after West VA and before Kentucky.
Permanent and perpetual noob.

1. A group in charge of the actual object we're taking on the trip
2. A group to sketch out the rough route we'll take, maybe just the order of States.
3. Regional "captains", "cat herders", "fixers", "logistical leads", whatever you want to call them to work out the specific routes and hand offs in their areas.
Permanent and perpetual noob.
