A kzrider flag thats big though for everyone to sign would be awesome, along with a pic of the handoff.

Got a schedule yet?

I will organize Washington State (if ok) and interface with KZCSI Bill. I am in south-east Washington (Dayton). Do we have an Idaho or B.C. contact yet?

Bill

Sounds like we need an overall incident commander (Craig??)

Here's a guy who figured out the shortest route through all 48 states. Also nice because it's a circle. You don't have to start in FL or Maine, etc.

www.barrystiefel.com/50_states_in_a_weeks_vacation/planning.htm

And here's his map:

He just barely touches some states. We wouldn't have to follow this exactly but it might help in putting an order to which states come where in the circuit. If I organize VA I'll know I come right after West VA and before Kentucky.

it would be better if the route were based on who can go where and when. that route would really limit who could contribute as it misses alot JMO

Good thinking; that would help a lot. If we had a map with a location dot on it for each rider that would like to participate we could see how best to connect the dots. Ed

Google Maps should be able to handle something like that. A collaborative map that we can all add points to.

I'll volunteer to try to set something up.

HI Topper,

You ever seen that corner of Oregon? If you have, you ain't seen Oregon. Surely, that route will get you the 48.
Can I suggest regional captains who coordinate regional handoffs? Let's allow some dead time, but not too much.

I can connect to:

Boise, ID
Weed, CA
Vancouver, WA
Spokane, WA

I hear you. Same for Utah. That's why I said:

This just looks like a good way to figure out what order we could put the states in for the relay.

Regional captains is probably a good idea. I don't know any KZ folks in my neighboring states, but would be willing to coordinate the mid-Atlantic run as needed.

Ok, let's try using a Google Map to track everyone who's interested.

g.co/maps/t683x

I think you'll need a Google account to edit the map. If you don't have or don't want a Google account, PM me your state and I'll add you to the map.
