There are lowlifes riding every kind of bike. But the lowest are the ones that brag or laugh about being asshats. Got nothing good to say about anothers bike or another make then either you have never ridden one or your scat don't stink. Or so you think.

HEY there goes a guy on a Vespa ....let's string him up! I'll wave at anyone riding two wheels and if they don't wave back well I just figure they have a sore arm from pulling too much pud the night before. MAN... there are a lot of riders pulling pud these days!

If they don't acknowledge you maybe they have hemorrhoids, a toothache, are going through a divorce, are hungover, remembering another asshat on a bike just like yours, suffering the heartbreak of psoriasis, getting audited, losing their job, got the clap, underwear pinching off a gnad, or just a hair across his ass today. But one thing to be glad is at least they are not hiding it and you are able to identify them as thus afflicted. Laugh and go on with your life.

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

the harleys wave around here for the most part , cept for a few ,and a nice bike is a nice bike.....

the other night i took the neighbors kid for a quick blast to see if we could catch the sunset by the sea...a mile to go and all the cars were heading back so we knew it had set...we spun around and cruised the shops and girl watched then got on the main road home....darkness now... and headlight time as we booked an off ramp homeward...i see a blur on the road ...right in the middle of the 65 mph turn and notice it is some one kneeling next to a bike in the gravel....so we spin around...i knew the kid would be confused and he was asking why are we stopping...i almost skidded the front in the gravel...got the 900 spun around and rode back in the bike lane into traffic...not many cars really...we pulled up and it was a dude sitting on his heels like a gangbanger next to a super high quality tricked out billy bad ass chopper...he said he had friends coming with gas and said several times...man that is so cool for you to come and see if i am ok...i said that is how we do it right?...he said i would come and help you! anytime....i said be safe and we turned to leave...as i was trying to get a safe roll in the gravel i could hear him holler from next to his 50,000 $ bike.....hey cool bike.....thanks again

it was good for the kid to see his first bike on bike lend a hand...it was good for me to know that i still hit the brake when i see a bike stopped...it was good for the guy on the road to know he would have had help if he had not solved his deal yet....it was good for him to see a rice bike help and for me to hear a Harley guy say nice bike......

i still wave too......

A few years ago I had gone over to my sons house to put a water pump on his Dodge. On the way home I see a guy on his knees next to his chrome plated Harley. I whip around and pull up. His front caliper had locked up. I had my tools with me so I relieved the pressure and said use rear brake only till you get home (home was only 1/2 mile) He really seemed amazed that someone stopped. He wasn't gushing with thank yous but was genuinly thankful. Nice guy, sent him home and we both felt good that day. I'll always stop to see if I can help. I would expect the same.....

You guys picking on Harleys is funny. At least I try to run with newer 600/750 sportbikes. It's all good until 90-100 when the difference between a 1970's chassis and 2000+ chassis comes into play.

One thing I notice is when I ride my LTD's the sport bike people don't wave, but the cruisers do (both metric and HD).

When I had my z1000 the cruisers wouldn't wave, but the sport bikes did...and wanted to race all the time.

The ONE time I took the wife's metropolitan for a spin, of course I see about 40 bikes. (at least it seemed like it). Everyone waved and laughed their ass off to see me crammed up on that goofy thing. haha.

anybody can ride a sport bike at 100mph,it takes skill to ride a motor surrounded by glorified water piping at 100mph!
a new corvette will walk away from a 55 chevy at 100mph,but that 55 chevy still looks cooler at 100mph than that vette does at 145 B)

I try to wave to most everyone- we're all in the same page, just strugglin' to get by (or at least stay alive by dodging cagers). There have been times when I haven't noticed other motorcyclists or been too "in the zone" to take my hand off the bars, so I don't get upset when I don't get the wave back. If people want to be like that, let them be. Karma's a bitch.
