"Hybrid," Streetfighter, Restomod Rollcall.

I was just wanting to compile a list of all of the current members who have done or are currently constructing any of these types of bikes. Restomods, with newer suspension components or "Hybrids." Thanks Trianglelaguna. Also old school or modern streetfighters are welcome. Basically anyone who has a custom bike with a rear suspension. Sorry no choppers or bobbers in this thread. I love your bikes, but you already have your thread. Please let us know where you are at in your build. What are your experiences with the bike if completed?

I'll kick-off since I started the thread. I'm Testarossa aka Josh. I have a 1978 KZ1000 A2. So far I have grafted on a 1995 GSXR 750 fork, swingarm, wheels, and brakes. I have added numerous frame braces, and have constructed the first part of a easily removable, modular luggage rack. I never got to ride the bike stock. It's been dead since I bought it two years ago. Just started going thru the motor. My goal is to get the bike running with a stock motor and "hybrid" suspension by the end of the year (2010.)

Here's a pic of my project at the current stage:

I'll Play along! I have the same bike as Dr. Enzo here, a '78 KZ 1000A2A. I have always loved the look of modern SSSA bikes like Ducs and the Speed Triple, but craved the comfortable riding position, ease of maintenance and lower aquisition costs of an aircooled bike. Throw in my family history with these Z bikes and it was destiny :P I have sucessfully adapted an '08 triumph Speed Triple single sided swingarm to the bike and full steam ahead! B)

Heres my bike still under construction.I started with an 85 GPZ 750. I kept about the main hoop of the frame. i have adapted an 05 gsxr rear end. I used the gsxr swingarm the gpz linkage and an R6 shock. I used a 91 zx7 front end. And a cr 250 subframe.

thomsonmx100, two questions. What did the hugger come from? Are you keeping the white frame and wheels for the finished product? Keep up the good work.

Keep 'em coming guys. I would love to hear from the guys with runners.
