I have a dilema. Girl or the kz??

i have been going out with this girl for a few weeks, i told her about my plans of redoing my 74 z1. She told me that im selfish to spend all that money on a stupid motorcycle, and i needed to get my priorities strait. Should i break up with her and restore the z1? or should i keep going out with her and put the z1 on hold? Just to add, when i was single i had money out the wazu, and now that im not i am dirt broke. Help...... Thanks

Well, firstly, if she is down on your motorcycle to begin with, can you two really have any future together? I am sooooo lucky to have a fantastic wife who supports my motorcycling, the money that sometimes goes along with it, the danger it implies, and some of my free time. I can't imagine being with a woman who put down my motorcycling. We also have an 18 month old boy, and the motorcycle danger has never been an issue. It's what I love and she knows that. My vote is to ditch the girl, have fun biking, and wait for the right one to come along. You'll be happy you did in the future

Find a girl who not only likes biking but has her own ride. I sure wish I did...

But your statement that you're broke since you started dating her, and her remarks on what should be YOUR own business, IMHO pegs her as a control freak and gold digger = dump her before she puts you in debt, and starts picking out your clothes and dragging you to the ballet and similar "entertainment". :pinch: :X

Then take your time and find a woman who will accept you for who you are, and will understand and support you in your hobbies/interests/passions.
A bigger plus is if she shares (or is interested in learning) your same passion for motorcycles.

There ARE women out there that fit this image.

It's the Warden (r4's other half). Lemme tell ya'... dump her. Period.. Never, under any circumstances let someone get away with calling your motorcycle stupid~(them's fightin' words!)First of all, she obviously has no clue how awesome it is to be able to ride, and to have great friends that you can share that passion with. Sounds like a hard-core case of old-fashioned jealously to me. Not to mention the fact that she doesn't have that certain piece of paper that says she can make those types of comments/demands. If she can't accept you for who you are & what you love doing, motorcycles & all, she's not worth loanin' a helmet to. You'll find way better than that, I'm sure of it. She's not the last piece, (oh, excuse me), I mean female on earth that has whatever it is that caught your eye in the first place. When you do find that special one, you'll never look back...( except maybe to make sure that ball bearing you flicked hit it's mark cuz some yahoo cut you off...)LOL

Oldkaws, so it's only been a few weeks and she is acting like your wife? (No offense to all the great wives who support their husbands, like Rose for example). I think it's a no-brainer. Do it before it's too late.
