Yes, Midway the Zone. You really have to go in and just lay it on the line with a very serious "if you do this at this price I buy RIGHT now" No BS type attitude like I had the day I was looking for a friend of mine and when I called him he gave me the runaround that he wanted black instead of silver and then when he got his black one he turned panty-waist and said the bike was too fast. I told him it is only as fast as you twist that throttle.
If you call on the phone they won't take you seriously... you know how that one goes. Willy World...well yeah, nuff said.
On my way home today I will go in and see if they have any 2010 models and I will make a bid on one for you to see what they will do. Are you ready to pull the trigger today? Because I have a feeling they will want to push it out the door if they give me a quote. If it's too crazy I might end up with it so text me your number mine is 708 254-5669. I seriously do not need another bike in my garage. I have a nice blue rex and two black Kaws and my sister has a kz 400 if any of you guys are interested in buying it let me know. I hope she never rides because she is truly accident prone.Genius wrote:

Back on topic for this thread; Who is ready to ride this spring? My Who wants to join me on a ride or ten this spring?

Let's see, Michigan Circle Tour, then a weekend in Door County, The Tail and Deal's Gap along the Blue Ridge Mountains, Florida 3rd week of April, of course we have to meet up with the St. Louis/Grafton chapter of the good ol Kawboyz and ride with those guys as they need to be reminded of coming up this way before summer's end. You listening RiverRoad? Ahemmm. I want to track my bike to go to that school where is that race track in Tennesee? Georgia? Keith Code? I forgot already. And I am going to track my car this summer at Road America which leaves that open for the classic bike race that we should also all get together and do. And DON'T forget even most of you guys may not ride bicycles but the RAGBRAI.com is an awesome ride that I have heard about for 6 days almost 500 miles through Iowa camping out partying your arses off on two wheels. Lots of cool things happening on that ride I'll bet. You have to sign up for it before the end of March. I already paid for my passage. Includes camping and transportation there. They tote your stuff such as tent, suitcase with clothing etc. and have lag service. Check it out. Oh yes, this summer is going to be a great summer!:woohoo:

Ok, I checked. They have one zx14 2011 13500 list. You already know (will do a little less than 13. I can tell you 11500 cash otd but you gotta go in person. No one is going to give you a price over the phone. They just won't. Go with cash and tell them with that definitive I don't give a shit one way or the other look and let your cash in hand talk for you. Guarantee they won't let you out of that door without a bike.

saxjonz cant thank you enough for goin out of your way to check with the zone!
After leaving Willy World and having (another) talk with myself...
I may just hold off on the ZX14 ?
My plan was to go ahead and buy a new bike and then take my time restoring my 81 CSR1000.
Thing is, as you may know I got an 80 LTD1000 also thats close to road ready!
What I should do is get the 80 LTD up to par and dump a shit load of cash on the CSR.
The LTD could use about $1000 to get it were it should be,
tires, chain, sprockets, head gasket.
It has a new Vance & Header and the carbs have been gone through, seems to run good and strong!
I'd really like to have someone coach me while I change the head gasket, leaks oil...You ever do a head gasket?
My CSR will be the bike I want, I've been gathering parts
for it as we speak ;)
Still need to get some things ironed out before I tear it down.
And YES I'm goin to the vintage bike races also!
Hey what kind of car do you have for the track?
I have a 2008 mustang Bullitt that I have put a lot of work into, motor and suspension, plan to get it on one of the road tracks this summer also.
Sending you a text...

Hey Sax, With school out you have just too much time on your hands.! I am planning some rides this spring/summer. Thinking of Eureka Springs, AR in May. Been to the Blue Ridge/Deals Gap thing the last 4 years in a row. May do a Colorado and/or Lower Mississippi ride. We will definitely ride again. Bring Darius next time.

As for you Genius, I hit those sweepers between Kankakee and Wilmington on IL 113 several times a year. There are some good roads not far for either of us. Get in touch sometime. I am sure we can get Sax out as well! ;)

They just left it on my doorstep. lol In my neighborhood. lol That is a funny looking word if I do say so myself. Well, hopefully we are able to ride. I just have to find a doggie sitter.:P

Dang it! Missed this by 3 months!

WTH is going on in Chicago land? No rides? I have been busy with a sick family member or would have been on sooner. Still, would like to get out and ride some. This weekend looks like rain, bummer. Let's see if we can stir up some interest for a ride soon.
