Hey all, I am waiting on my friend to leave in about 5 minutes. I will look for genius. If any of you have a smartphone you should check in to facebook places when you get there and I will certainly be there in about an hour or so. Totally missed my planned time. Stayed out LATE last night didn't get home till the wee hours.

Well, I always say seeing is believing Genius. My friend has a shop by the bike show, a hop skip and a jump away literally. You guys could go and check out my powdercoat job and if you like it Yianni could hook you up with his source I'm sure. PM me for his number and you can check my facebook page out if you can't stop by his shop and there I have pictures of the powdercoat I got done. Also I have a post here I believe that there are pictures I posted as well. To me this was a high quality job. No two ways about it.

I was there early and the place was packed!
We jacked around there for about 3hr's nobody caught up with me..oh well.
saxjonz, that would have been cool to check out your friends shop.
I didnt even think to check my smart ph while I was there.
Pic's were's the pic's?
I was kinda hoping to find maybe, tires, exhaust, hand controls, swingarm....and got nothing, oh well I'll get my stuff somewhere soon.
Hope I win that Z1900.

My black bike is on the top left corner of the picture. I took it to this guy who tuned it for me and it is now completely apart being totally restored. Custom swingarm etc. This guy is really cool to talk to. This bike after he tuned it ran like a bat outta help. He could help you find those pieces. It's really hard these days to find good stuff. You know I could pm you with some sources I have but I think many things you need now would be good to buy from z1enterprises.com You just have to luck out and find some packrat who horded stuff away for years and is now getting too old to ride. If you need a stock swingarm that's no problem. But what kind of pipes are you looking for?

Genius, pictures don't really do this justice but you can see pretty much how it turned out. I was impressed.
I haven't been keeping up with the pics or the project lately but soon I will add many more pics of the bike as it gets assembled.

Hey you Chicago area folks....

I'm trying to put together some stuff for the summer and was thinking about attending the Vintage Motorcycle Classic (AHRMA) weekend at Road America up here in da nort woods. Weather permitting, I think I'll be riding the cycle up for the weekend and camping at the track, just wondered if anyone else would be interested.

I'll also probably try to make it to the AMA Superbike race day.

Yeah, that's a do for me if I'm in town. That's June 12th. I'm sure I will do that one. Sounds like a lot of fun but to camp out the weekend? Hmmm. I have to find a dogsitter.;)

Not sure if I'll be doing Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun yet. Waiting to see what the weekend schedule looks like. I'll keep you posted. Looks like there will be a swap meet/show also.

I'll probably be into doing this although I can see myself spending the night with friends in Milwaukee. How far is Road America from Milwaukee?

Of course, it depends on where in Milwaukee you are, and it's a pretty boring ride from that direction (The area between West Bend and Elkhart Lake, I believe it's part of the Kettle Moraine North unit, is pretty nice though - see map link), but it looks like just over an hour.

yeah, I'm not much of a freeway fan. The area you mentioned though does look like fun.

I may do this also, got a flyer at the bike show.
Not sure what to do, seeing how I have a 30ft toy hauler camper.
For the last 5 years all of my vacations have been camping and riding.
