KZR Chicago Chapter.

Sory, just SE of Naperville. About 50 Mi No of you. But still not a long ride. Plenty of experience with 81 CSR though. The two bikes you have are completely different from each other. There is virtually nothing interchangeable. Your 1980 is a MKII series and your 81 CSR is a "J" series. The engines have nothing in common at all and nether do the frames.

I have seen this bike on the rode several times and have always been going the OTHER way and by the time I turned around to catch up you were gone.
I think once many years ago, if you have had this bike a long time, I remember complimenting you on this.

Hey guys, anyone going to the bike show this Saturday? Forrest, I, and a few other kz riders are going and it would be nice to meet up and maybe get the chance to organize a ride or two this summer. We usually ride in a group to the Byron Dragstrip and make weekend rides to Wisconsin or Michigan along the lake. We do a LOT of riding all summer and as such it would be nice to ride with some of you guys instead of posting about riding and wondering if you can fit the guts of a car exhaust to a header or why this bike won't run because the battery is cracked and how can I fix it type threads. :lol: :blush:

Bumpity bump bump.....:huh: anyone going???????? this year I won't post any pics up so that couch doesn't get to comfy for post addicted . It would be nice to meet other guys who are not too busy posting and fixing or thinking about fixing.
This summer will be special. California ride to Laguna Seca for Moto GP, ride around Michigan, ride to the dragon's tail and parts south including the Blue Ridge Mountains. And maybe even a Jaunt up to Vermont in addition to the weekly Lake Front Rides.

I hope I'm not ruffling anyone's feathers by inviting you guys to ride and leave those poor keyboards and worries of day to day life alone am I? The only things that trump my keyboard addictions is riding, ... and .... Only reason why I get online here is to share with others and try to meet some kz enthusiasts.

Sax - wish I could be there - but we have stuff going on this weekend. When's the next meetup chance after this? The wife started school this year again so I should have plenty of free time to ride. Gotta rebuild my carbs next month and I'll be ready to go.
