Today we got the forks assembled and installed. Now we were able to measure for the new shorter upper front brake line and get the lines ordered.

Yesterday I made the pieces for the carb support rod bracket to hold up the back side of the RS 34's. Now I need to install the carbs so I can get the bends perfect and weld the parts together.

Today we assembled the gauges on the new mounting bracket and installed the new guage wiring harness. I trimmed some off the new idiot light bulb sockets so they fit in the mounting bracket better. We got them mounted along with the headlight bucket. The manual we ordered came in so now I can finish plugging everything in. We found a couple more bad parts we'll have to order, I'm sure they won't be the last.

Very nice work. It's very fulfilling seeing them get close to completion. Can't wait to see finished.

I knew it was a popular mod to stretch these bikes, but 77' is outrageous!

Seriously, though, this machine is coming out immaculate. Excellent work, and keep the pics coming.

Yesterday we test fit the Delkevik exhaust and it fits great just like the one we put on the 80' GS 1100E. Since I installed a centerstand and we ordered the pipe for an LTD it came without a centerstand stop so we sent Delkevik a message to get the centerstand stop for a KZ 1000A.
I also got the ignition box mounted in a better place out of the weather and away from the heat.
